As per the New York Post, Kennedy has filed a $100 million lawsuit through his lawyer, Sean Head, against the athlete. Aside from him, he’s also suing the media group associated with Ocho Chad Johnson and Shannon Sharpe for claiming he was ‘racist’ towards Metcalf on their Nightcap podcast.
According to the lawsuit filed, the fan has suffered both physically and mentally from the abuse at the hands of Metcalf. He argues his comments were standard trash talk from a fan and not hate speech, but it somehow got twisted in viral videos online. He also argued that Sharpe and Johnson’s podcast amplified it to audiences, while claiming he was falsely branded a racist.

DK Metcalf And Media Figures Face Lawsuit After Escalating Racism Allegations Against Lions Fan
DK Metcalf and the Steelers have not yet responded to the allegations and have not offered any explanation. Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ocho Johnson have also not responded to the situation, neither personally nor legally. It is yet to be seen what they have to say on the matter.
Ryan Kennedy and his legal team held a press conference to reiterate their accusation to the media.
