A Brewers Fan Was Caught On Camera Targeting A Dodgers Supporter With An ICE Threat. The Viral Clip Just Cost Her Both Of Her Jobs

A Brewers fan loses her job due to controversial comment involving ICE and many believe she deserved it.

During a National League Championship Series game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, a verbal confrontation escalated between a Brewers fan and a Dodgers fan. Things went south when the Brewers fan, Shannon Kobylarczyk, directed a racially charged and deeply inappropriate comment towards the Dodgers fan, Ricardo Fosado.

The confrontation was captured on a mobile phone camera and immediately uploaded to social media. The comment involved a threat to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on the Dodgers supporter. Given the highly sensitive nature of immigration issues and the controversial remarks, the video drew massive public outrage and quickly caught the attention of Kobylarczyk’s employer, Good Karma Brands.

The media and marketing company gave a pretty straightforward response. The firm issued a public statement addressing the language and behavior shown in the video. They emphasized that the actions of the employee were in direct conflict with the company’s core values of inclusion and respect. They announced that Ms. Kobylarczyk was immediately terminated from her position, stating clearly that there was no tolerance for hate speech or discriminatory actions within their organization.

What Happened In The Video

The video was shot in the stands of American Family Field in Milwaukee and captured the final, heated moments of an argument that had been building between the two fans. The Dodgers fan, Ricardo Fosado, was standing his ground while being verbally targeted by the Brewers fan, Shannon Kobylarczyk.

The most damaging and widely shared segment of the recording centered on the specific words used by the Brewers fan. In an attempt to intimidate the Dodgers fan, Ms. Kobylarczyk could be clearly heard threatening to involve federal law enforcement. She specifically stated her intent to call “ICE” on him. It is a highly charged statement often used to harass people of perceived or actual Latino heritage, regardless of their citizenship status.

Once the video hit social media platforms, it generated a massive and furious reaction from users across the nation. People were shocked and angered by the fan’s open display of xenophobia and hatred in a public place. This viral exposure is what ultimately put pressure on the Brewers organization and led to her employer identifying the woman and taking immediate action to terminate her employment.

A Dodger Fan Has No Sympathy For The Brewer Fan Losing Her Job

The target of the verbal attack, Dodgers fan Ricardo Fosado, later spoke publicly about the incident and the consequences that followed for the woman. Fosado was unapologetic about the Brewers fan losing her job, asserting that the outcome was a direct result of her own hateful actions.

Fosado made it clear that while job loss is a serious matter, it paled in comparison to the harm and damage caused by her racist and xenophobic comments. He did not express sympathy for her financial loss. Instead, he expressed that in today’s society, people must be held accountable for publicly making racially charged threats.

Ultimately, the Dodgers fan saw the incident as a crucial lesson about the enduring power and negative impact of hate speech. He hoped that the public and professional fallout for the Brewers fan would lead to people thinking twice before using such hateful words. His focus remained on the fact that her actions were an attack on an entire community, and the loss of her job was a fitting consequence for that choice.
