Logan Paul Claims Mayweather Owes Him Seven Figures, But Not Before Floyd Pays Off Millions Over His Shady Business Deal In That Same Fight

Logan Paul lost millions it seems.

Logan Paul claims Floyd Mayweather still owes him $1.5 million from their 2021 exhibition bout. But, he doubts he will ever see the money because of the boxer’s ongoing legal disputes tied to the same fight.

Speaking on The Iced Coffee Hour, Paul alleged that Mayweather pre-sold the bout using his name and likeness to a company in the Middle East for millions in cash before the fight was ultimately staged in the United States. According to Paul, he was contractually entitled to a percentage of that deal.

Paul and Mayweather went the distance in their eight-round exhibition at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, in June 2021. The fight may not have earned rave reviews from purists, yet it proved to be a commercial success and generated significant pay-per-view interest. Paul also got some controversial words from Tom Brady, causing a stir.

The $10 Million Dispute Behind The Fight

During the interview, Paul explained that Mayweather allegedly struck a separate agreement to stage the fight in Dubai before the event was moved to the U.S. under a different promotional company. “He pre-sold the fight using my name and likeness to a company, I think in Dubai or somewhere in the Middle East, for $10,000,000 cash,” Paul said. “We ended up doing the fight in the U.S. with a different company. That’s the company that put on the fight, but he had already sold our fight to someone else for $10M cash.”

Paul said their agreement entitled him to 15 percent of that $10 million. “Our deal was 15%, he smoked me. Fifteen percent of $10,000,000 is $1,500,000,” he added, before noting that the company that allegedly paid Mayweather is now suing him. “He has a bunch of legal trouble at the moment. I don’t think I’m ever getting the money.”

Legal wrangling tied to the fight surfaced publicly in May 2021 when Mayweather Promotions filed suit against PAC Entertainment Worldwide, alleging missed payments. PAC Entertainment later filed a counterclaim, adding another layer of complexity to the financial fallout surrounding the exhibition.

Despite the lingering payment dispute, Paul has previously said he declined two opportunities for a rematch with Mayweather. The YouTuber-turned-WWE star has since shifted focus to professional wrestling and other business ventures rather than revisiting the boxing ring with the undefeated former world champion.

The 2021 exhibition marked one of the more unusual spectacles in recent boxing history, pairing a social media personality with a Hall of Fame fighter in a bout that officially had no winner. Even so, the event demonstrated the drawing power both men command, blending traditional boxing audiences with Paul’s massive online following.
