Texas Longhorns Debut

The college career of John Shannon has begun and the freshman quarterback did not disappoint in his first game. Shannon was named the starter just before the game and he started out a little shaky, but once he got the flow of things, he had a pretty solid game. Shannon completed 15 out of 26 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns and ran the ball 11 times for 56 yards and 1 touchdown. Not bad for the new kid.
