Well with the patch I guess I'm going to give the association mode another try. Once again I'm going to take over the Bobcats and sim the first season so I don't have to worry about "realism".

Bobcats record: 12-17 (29 game seasons)
Playoffs: No
Draft Lottery: #10 odds | #10 pick

NBA Awards:
MVP - Kobe Bryant | 27.4 ppg, 5.0 apg
ROY - Derrick Rose | 15.2 ppg, 5.7 apg
6th Man - Lamar Odom | 10.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg
Def. POY - Dwight Howard | 21.8 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 2.9 bpg
Most Improved - Nate Robinson | 17.7 ppg, 5.2 apg

NBA Champs : Houston Rockets def Miami Heat 3-0
Finals MVP : Yao Ming | 16.3 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.4 bpg

Team Options:
DECLINED Jared Dudley | 3.2 ppg, 2.3 rpg
DECLINED Adam Morrison | 8.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg

Re-signing:
PG Raymond Felton (80 rating) | 12.4 ppg, 6.9 apg
+ Wanted to test free agency
SG Shannon Brown (71 rating) | 1.4 ppg
+ Won't re-sign
PF Sean May (76 rating) | 1.8 ppg, 1.3 rpg
+ Wants $5.11M, not gonna happen
C Ryan Hollins (69 overall) | DNP in 08-09
+ No chance on signing this guy

Trades:
Charlotte receives:
PG Marcus Banks (75 rating) | 7.7 ppg, 3.3 apg
2009 1st round pick (#19)

Miami receives:
PG D.J. Augustin (76 rating) | 5.4 ppg, 2.6 apg
C Nazr Mohammed (75 rating) | 4.1 ppg, 4.6 rpg

Analysis:
I'm planning on signing Raymond Felton through free agency and he's about $8M/year. I need to free up some cap space because I'd also like to get a PF through free agency or the draft. I have the center position well supplied and I get Banks as a legit backup guard. He's a tough defender and can shoot, I like his game. I'm going to try and package my draft picks, #10 and #19, to move up and get a quality big man rookie. My cap after this deal will be $12.53M, which gives me enough to get Felton and a PF if I need to.

Miami will get a quality PG to battle it out with Mario Chalmers to see who is the future of the Heat. Chalmers averaged 7.4 pg and 5.1 apg last season, so he'll get pushed by Augustin. The Heat are also thin at the "bigs". They have Michael Beasley at PF (83 rating) and Mark Blount (73 rating) and Udonis Haslem (79 rating) at C. This gives them a solid veteran who can rebound and play defense. The Heat need to put Beasley at the 3, Haslem at the 4, and Mohammed at the 5. That would be their best line up IMHO.

Trade #2
Charlotte receives:
2009 1st round pick (#2)

Minnesota receives:
2009 1st round picks (#10 & #19)
2010 1st round pick

I see a guy I really, really want and I'm selling out to get him. He is going to be a stud at PF. Gerald Wallace is going to play the 4. He's also from UNC!!!

What do you guys think?

Free Agency:
Signed PG Raymond Felton to a lucrative 5-year deal worth $51M over the 5 years. There was serious heat on Felton in free agency and in my desperation I had to offer him all I could.

2009 line up:
PG - Raymond Felton (82)
SG - Jason Richardson (84)
SF - Rob Washington (80) *Rookie*
PF - Gerald Wallace (84)
C - Emeka Okafor (85)

I'm very undersized and thin. One injury and my team will not win, at all.

Bench:
PG - Marcus Banks (76)
SG - Matt Carroll (73)
C - Alexis Ajinca (72)
PF - Clay Sessions (63) *Rookie*

I have nobody else worth mentioning, seriously. Carroll has a $5.5M contract for 4 more years and he's not a great player. I have all my money tied up in my starters and they're not good enough to win, even in the East.

I need to play over my head to have a chance at the Playoffs this season, but I think if Rob Washington is as good as advertised I can make a run.

If you took 100 humans and isolated them from any culture from birth to death, would they believe in a supreme being or have any notion for any religion of any type?

We could section off a part of a forest which provided all the basics for survival.

*Hypothetical OBVIOUSLY

**Still poses a very interesting question.

When I first arrived on the campus of Notre Dame I had about a million different topics running through my head. Among these topics was what uniform number for the baseball team I would choose when I was given the opportunity. In all honesty I probably would've tried to take #20, which served me well throughout high school. If the people in the athletic department could've figured out the number my grandfather wore when he played at ND I would've tried to take that, but they were unable to figure it out.

It turned out that I wasn't given a choice in the number because when I showed up to my locker I saw #32 on my locker magnet which had my name on it. I was fine with the number, I thought it was pretty cool, and most importantly, it had a 2 in it. For some reason I feel the need to always have a 2 in my number. Anyways over the next four years I definitely fell in love with the number and took it on as my own.

Fast forward to Thanksgiving, 2009.

I'm in the living room watching football and my mom says she has something for me. I believe she said something like this: "Hey Jess I have something to show you. Do you remember when you were a little kid and you would always go to your grandmother's house? Do you remember the towel set she bought you and that you always used? Of course I remember but the details weren't 100% clear. Well she just so happened to dig up one of the hand towels and opened it up in front of my eyes.

The towel had a bear on it jump roping. The bear was wearing a basketball jersey. To be more specific, the jersey was green with gold numbering.

The number, 32.

Disclaimer
I'm just posting my own opinion on a couple topics. I'm not trying to start arguments and I respect the opinions of others. If you do have any thoughts about what I've said, then send me a PM.

Why I think I'm going crazy...
I don't know what happened to my mentality on most things, but as I've gotten "older" I've started to truly question everything that is thrown in front of me. I always look for the "real reason" behind the actions of people.

Let's take a look at religion. Now I've never been someone to go to church every Sunday but I always thought their was a god. Through learning about anthropology, evolution, and taking a true look at some religious documents, I have become an Atheist. I view religion as a substitute for science back in the times where they couldn't use science to explain natural phenomena. I also believe it was used as a scare tactic to keep people in order. That was a genius idea and it still works to this day! However I can't bring myself to honestly believe their is a "all-knowing being" who created everything. I believe in evolution and I believe one day the notion of a god will be viewed as our lack of knowledge.

With that said, I don't know if I'm right. All I know is what I believe in. I can't bring myself to stare at the ceiling and waste time praying to something I don't know is there. I know one thing: I have one life to live and I'm going to live it the way I want. I don't want to go through life stepping on eggshells just in case I might get an after life. Just saying I'm going to have an after life sounds ridiculous to me. So ok, I'm not having one, but I'm going to love my life right now and do with it what I can. If anything it makes me appreciate each day I have to live.

Anyways that's all I have for now...I could get into politics here but I'm not really up for typing all that out! I'll have to get to that in another blog...if my blogging privileges aren't banned by this one!

Remember I'm just voicing my opinions and beliefs, not trying to make anybody mad. If you believe in god, stay true to your beliefs.
