Tecmo Super Bowl Video: Tracy Porter's Interception

For the third year, I've made a Tecmo re-creation of a big play from the Super Bowl. As a Colts fan, this one hurt. Plus, my video editing software decided to hate my guts, so it was difficult to make and actually didn't turn out as good as I wanted. Oh well.

I read in OXM about Tecmo Bowl a while back - they said there was a possibility that an updated version would come out on XBLA this spring. Anyone heard anything more about that?

"A trusted source (the same who provided us with early knowledge of Lucidity and NBA2K10 Draft Combine) has just informed Joystiq that Tecmo's planned Tecmo Bowl update for XBLA is also coming to PSN. Dubbed "Tecmo Bowl Throwback," the game is a remake of the NES classic SNES version, complete with HD graphics and an updated soundtrack -- it also retains the original plays and team stats."

Awesome video.

Just goes to show what good commentary can do. Even though the graphics of Tecmo Super Bowl are very dated, the commentary and crowd noise make it more believable than Madden or NCAA. Hopefully, the developers of these games are paying attention.

mjussawalla - great point, i thought the same thing myself. proper audio and crowd noise can overcome just about any in-game boringness..
