I'm definitely buying it!

I've only spent a short time with the game, about a game and a half + the intro game, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I was hopefully for the game this year but I expected it to be mostly the same gameplay wise. While it is undoubtedly still madden, the overall feel of the game is noticeably improved and I'm a fan.

I gotta play some more before final judgement. I could be getting swept up by the "new game smell" so to speak. This happens with games, especially sports games, where the game could feel vastly improved at first then over time the flaws and legacy issues show there face. I'm leaning towards a purchase but I'm going to burn out my 10 hours of the trial version first, maybe I'll be able to hold off long enough for a sale.

Not a must buy. Improvements in commentary are very nice addition tho

I'd love to hear some insight on any changes in Franchise mode.

Played a few games of draft champs. Had one guy down by 14 so he went to the bread and butter plays that worked last year. 4 verts. He was picked of 5 times. That alone make me over joyed. I have also noticed if you don't have an oline hints are going to be really tough. Gameplay wise much better

It seems alot better than last year

- The running game does feel more responsive.
- Computer A.I. regarding pass defense seems improved and I like that they explained the different Zones
- Play The Moments in CFM, is a game changer and its not like SuperSim last year where you and your opponent would score a absurd about of points during sim.
- Definitely noticed alot of new animations, like a had a WR toe tap in the back of the endzone. The replay even zoomed in on the feet tapping.
- Commentary is greatly improved. Everyone is saying it and it is not a overstatement.
-I've only been playing CFM
- The game plays well on Slow for me. I have not adjusted the sliders any more than reducing the QB accuracy
- The Ball physics are real.

Overall, its a purchase for me

Read option is once again broken. The amount of time you have at the mesh point between QB and runner is far to short. As a QB you should be able to pull the ball out at the very last minute. Also 9/10 times the defensive read completely breaks maddens physics rules and turns on a dime to stop the QB after commuting to the rb. Every year there's a fresh coat of paint on madden but there are some real fundemental problems with the base code

To me it plays better than it looked in videos. After playing it I can really feel the difference in responsiveness with much more fluid & realistic movement. The defensive AI definitely seems more realistic and smarter.

You don't have to provide documentation proving you have the game anymore or just this thread?

Looking forward to grabbing it. I never enjoyed Madden as much as Acclaim's QB club franchise mostly because of frame rate and responsiveness issues. Generally when games are built are series and last this long a lot of legacy code remains (think Microsoft's Flight Simulator) causing less than stellar performance since not everything in the pipeline is optimized for a specific hardware set.

Still, the Madden Franchise is a great one so I'm looking forward to checking it out in hopes of lightning fast, smooth response.

A lot of people have it now through Xbox One/EA Access.

so question: I noticed after i downloaded it it told me that it was the trial version and that I could upgrade to the full version. does that mean if I upgraded to the full version that I can play past the 10 hours?

Second I was messing around with the create a player and was wondering if all those faces are the only ones that are going to be in the game or do they have more stock faces. I only ask because after like 10 years in franchise mode everybody is going to have the same face.

No definitely not. For upgrading it means to purchase it in time for the game to drop. Once the game drops you will be able to play it then.

I don't know what it is, the only thing I did in Madden 17 was play Franchise Mode as an RB and that's what I am doing here. But for some reason the running game feels impossible, like there is never any space to run. Probably just something I need to get used to, but it's very annoying. Whenever you get into open space though, it feels great.

best madden to date thus far.

You'll find that the rushing game varies wildly depending upon teams. Some teams you will find it impossible, others difficult and some too easy. It's realistic in that sense I think.

Also fatigue plays a big role...keep pounding and things tend to open up a bit more.

Just pre-ordered. Idk what it is, but I feel that madden is actually improving the game for the better and actually listening to the players (New equipment, practice squad, improved defensive zones, etc,. One of the best maddens and the most improved madden to date.
