The action looked good, but I'm not a "MyPlayer" mode player or an online player really. I may play through the Career Mode once to help me get the controls down, but that's about it. Hopefully, the team has something more innovative in store for the future.

I will try the career mode, but I was hoping for more of a detailed video or fact sheet to review. I still have plenty of questions:

- Is there a decent list of names for your created fighter for Bruce to yell out during introductions? Not just nicknames either. It kills the mode when he only announces "The Brawler!"

- During your career, do you have the opportunity to watch fight cards even if your fighter isn't fighting on the card? It was a great way to keep immersed in the UFC world back in the UFC Undisputed games.

- How long can your career last?

As far as the Online Championships go, Im not much of an online player, but might try it out if my skills are up to par. I have a long way to go before that happens though haha...

Very excited for March 15th!

If we choose a pro guy like Conor McGregor are you the champ already and do you keep his ratings and perks?

No. You are getting him at the start of his career.

Thanks for the quick response.

To expand on my fight cards during career question, since you can't watch the fights, will you at least be to able to view the results? Are the fighter rankings updated after each card or monthly?

I have a feeling I'm going to have to create my own Universe mode to get the immersion I'm looking for, but I really want the career mode to make me feel apart of the UFC and have the ability to know what's going on in the UFC and not just only news related to my fighter.

Thanks again for all your help and information aholbert32!

I really wish they would let us control any fight we wanted to in career mode. It would make it way better for me.

I'll definitely give the Career Mode a try, but it seems to be no different to any boxing/MMA career mode we've played over the past 20 years.
Oh how I long for a company to adopt Victorious Boxers 2 career mode elements.

Looking forward to hearing more about Event Mode.

Dont quote me on this but I believe its after each fight. You see a screen of the entire card that indicates the winners and the fighters who received performance bonuses.

Yeah, Career mode isnt a Universe mode substitute. We still have to rely on spreadsheets for that.

Agreed. Until this feature is implemented Career Mode remains far too limited.

That's not Career mode though...there is a good chance that it will never happen in a Career mode. Career mode focuses on a single fighter and his/her career in UFC.

There wasn't a whole lot to get excited about as far as career mode goes in that video but I'm not sure what they can add that hasn't already been done in a MMA career mode. I like that you'll have to choose risk and reward in how hard you train hopefully the same thing will be applied to the CPU fights you come up against.

I'm definitely looking forward to the day we can run our own UFC Universe though.

Yes! Just make it where we can play any fight and we don't have to do any type of mini-games if we don't want. Also add an automatic progression/regression system and we would have the beginning of a Universe Mode.

I'm pretty sure they said earlier on that once you pass a mini game you can sim it with that grade in lieu of replaying it each time if you wish. This was an old feature in EA MMA.

Does that character get saved like it did in UFC Undisputed 3 once you complete career mode? I remember doing this with a few fighters in that game.

The funny thing about UFC is that it's the only sports game out there where actually playing out the fight/game/whatever is enjoyable enough that I would do it on its own. I never play exhibition in Madden, or The Show, or any NBA game. For those it's how fun the franchise mode is that keeps me playing (or not.)

I do the spreadsheets to give the exhibition fights I would probably do anyway some meaning. I don't need a big universe mode to make the game fun to play, it's just a fun game in its own right. That's why, for me, just being able to play through all the fights I want in career mode, without having matchmaking or camps or any of the other Universe type stuff. It seems to me that it wouldn't be a huge addition in terms of programming, although I could be wrong, but it would be a huge deal to me.
