Everything looks promising! Obviously you can't please everyone, but I'm sure edit player will make it into the game for you guys and the modes being back look good, I can only imagine that next year will be a goalie revamp. Other than that, the mascots are going to entertaining, the gameplay will probably be good, the fact that we can't edit our attributes for EASHL is a slight bummer, but we will have to see how well it turns out. Overall I'm very excited and I can't wait to see more information on some of the stuff.

My brother and I are majorly into eashl so last year was a disappointment. However it's back so all is well. All the features sound good and pretty much expected. I'm actually more curious about next years features. Like the post above its got to be goalies right? I was saying in NHL 14 that the goalies need some loving as they haven't been really revamped since NHL 07.

It is a decent start but it is all meaningless until we see it in action. The new morale system for instance could be great if it functions properly or could be an absolute train wreck if it doesn't and destroy a GM mode. We were promised last year to have exciting commentary that followed the action and replicated a real life Doc broadcast. That was not the case so why should we believe them this year? The NHL series used to be one of the best series EA had but I lost a lot of faith and respect with the disaster that was NHL 15. So now I need to see everything before I believe any of it.

Hopefully the game lives up to the back of the box features and they surprise me. If they do it has the potential to be sports game of the year. Only time will tell. Also they need to let us know ASAP what is and isn't in the game. Forget this foolish "Ask EA" sham, just give us a list of everything that made the cut and everything that didn't/could be offered as DLC later.

I thought this at first, but now that I'm thinking about the grind to Legend 3, that sucked. But it was fun tinkering with different builds.

OT: I'm excited for EASHL, it really sucks that connected GM isn't in. We were looking forward to that.

What I really wanted to know was if teammate AI was improved and if there was more defensive options for the player. So my primary game play concerns have yet to be answered. Also player differential, so like with most ea games I'm begging for more options to have the game play more like what I see in real life.

I voted terrible, but in reality, I am ok with what they announced I am just not a fan of the process of what they did last year and how they expect us to jump at the new (old) additions this year.
Still going to wait for reviews before purchase.

I like what I heard from the NHL 16 development team bringing popular modes back that never should have left is a great start But there are more things that I want to see from NHL 16 such as:

The game plays like a true NHL game no 5-0 score after one period NO 13-2 final scores

Full roster editing abilities I want to be able edit player positions salaries & equipment the way I choose

I am still buying the game regardless but the other add ons that I would like would make the game awesome to play!

I've bought this game and dumped thousands of hours into it over the years, but I just can't and won't buy NHL 16.

They haven't learned from their mistakes, this feature release is riddled with deceptively vague statements, and when it does get specific it's essentially saying "Good news, we're giving you some of the features that you thought you purchased last year".

This is same group who intentionally deceived us before launch, and then again after launch. There were no consequences at all for them except losing the trust of their customer base. Well, Maybe plummeting sales numbers is what it takes to force a change.

^This.

After purchasing this game so many times for various Playstation platforms, I'm done for the time being. Constantly taking out modes and then putting them back in saying they are "new". Every year, same thing. There is only one thing that can save the series for me; and that's bringing it to PC to allow the community to fix this turd of a game. The community of modders and editors are the only thing that can save this game as far as I'm concerned. And if that day never comes, I'm fine with that. I honestly won't miss it. Pretty sad for a hardcore hockey fan. Just so fed up.

I voted a good start but I'm not fully sold and will proceed with caution but I am happy to get season mode back. I guess I play the game most differently than others. I play offline season mode only and try to emulate the real season by making scratches. So along with more in depth play by play and more emotion coming from Doc and more content will make me happy.

Yep Jet, this is absolutely huge for me. Myself, i'm doubtful that we'll get just what we're looking for. But hoping they at least start turning the game in this direction.

It sounds pretty great to me, but if there's one thing I've learned on this board, it's that I tend to be in the minority on stuff like this.

Still really disappointed with no GM Connected. I understand their reasoning, but I found it was the best way to play and compete with my friends. Adding play a friend to HUT was a step in the direction but GM Connected was always most desired for me.

Playoff beards So maybe that also means real faces for all players too

Definitely promising. I'm glad some of the missing feature are being added back. I'm just hoping they're implemented properly. I hope player editing is available for your whole roster in BeaGM mode.

Looks intriguing. I haven't gotten an NHL game in a few years, but am considering it.
- Being able to Edit current players is a must for me.
- And I'd really like to be able to Create a team to replace a team I don't like.

- Also, can you edit the draft classes and make your own prospects?

# 17 OilCountry93 @ 05/22/15 05:36 PM
I buy every NHL game regardless, as there is no other hockey game to play. However, I like the looks of a more in-depth GM Mode. Only mode I play anyways. Hopefully this is the start of a major improvement of BAGM!

That's a great point, they haven't reached the level of providing anything near an accurate likeness of all NHL players, adding a beard will just shine a light on this..

Also, will current young players still be growing thin patchy beards when they're 35?

# 19 canucksss @ 05/22/15 10:27 PM
No player and team differentiation is no buy for me. How many years that NHL teams play the same except different uniforms and "logo" of the home team? How many years have they been fooling people with this taking out a feature and returning in next year or the following year and claim "new feature"? How many years have we observed that there's no Neutral Zone pressure? (Freak, I need to unnecessary dump the puck, just to be different entering the zone!)

Playoff beard, sure, that should be in the game long time ago. What I AM LOOKING FOR in the PLAYOFF is the INTENSITY of the game and not just towel waving crowds and "playoff" written on the ice.

A good start, but I really hope they get a custom camera in the game.
