They werent that bad before with the right settings and changing the qbedit. The qb edit is all that had to be changed, not the win chance. Now its the grand canyon size holes in the run game. It was a simple fix that EA over did. JMO.
Change the win chance back and just edit the QB traits in the next roster update.

Just been playing on Pro to learn the nuances and tighten up my game before going to All Pro, which is what I do with every Madden, but definitely see my win chances are lessened on the line and sacks have dropped a lil. Also noticing the QBs try a bit to get rid of ball when they're about to get sacked which they weren't doing before tuner and I have not touched the sliders in regard to the lines or QBs.

That said, CPU QBs still take too long making decisions in pocket whether no pressure or pressure. That's what leads to a lot of sacks. The QB AI needs to be tuned but I don't want the previous Maddens' QBs where they would get rid of the ball too many times, a hair shy of a sack.

They've seemed to go down a good bit. I had 14 sacks as the Rams vs. the Packers in Play Now mode before the tuner updates. I started an online CFM and noticed a dramatic decrease in sack totals, but I have CPU pass blocking at 95 also. I still believe there are too many sacks in many games though. The QB still will stand there, not moving at all, and take a sack.. and this is still in online CFM mode.

Are we able to play a single-player online cfm without this tuner update? I went with the edits and had the game setup perfectly before this and now everything, from coverage to block shedding, is way off.

I personally have been terrible with the new system. I'm not of fan of just tapping the face buttons, it feels like they just added it in as a gimmick. At least with the old system I felt like the stick made sense, if you were to do a half circle you would do a finesse spin and if you just hit down on the stick you bull rushed the dude. IMO it felt smoother.

I`m still averaging 5 sacks per game with Cards. NONE ARE USER SACKS. For me is the same with or without the tuner, no improvement at all. Hopefully they patch this, it kills to get 7 sacks sometimes 10 sacks in a game. Yesterday against the charges i got 3 sacks in a row. smh

With the right slider settings I'm getting a more reasonable level of sacks.

As the Titans I played the Cowboys with Charter's All-Madden set and got 8 sacks, reduced the reaction time slider from 70 to 60 and got only 3 against Dalton. Was still getting to the QB but hitting him as he threw (causing errant passes) or even seeing him not so much throw it away but do a short pass to the feet of the blocking RB/TE.

The only other thing I did between games is turn the Intentional Grounding penalty down to 5 (from 50).

The reason why I think it feels gimmicky is because it doesn't make sense at all. Say I'm rushing the Qb with a guy like geno Atkins, I would use the power move every time because that's his strength. So when X(ps4) button pops up after I'm using square for power move it feels so fake. How am I going to spin on a dude when his finesse is way lower. I haven't had a single situation yet where I was able to get pass the oline without having to press both buttons. And that's just feels so stupid to me. Certain d linemen excel at power moves, others at finesse moves and you should be able to get pass using just one. Another complaint is you have to wait for the icon to pop up too which masks it seem as if the game is purposely trying to control the time in which you can get to the Qb.

I completely agree. I had texted one of boys last week about the X and square situation, stating I don't know if I'm going to like this new system because it doesn't feel organic and too much like a mini game. I decided to give it a chance before really speaking on it yet I don't really kind the system because it's been crappy leading up to this new one and I can at least get past weaker O linemen far more than previous Maddens. It's a trade off I'll live with for now but EA definitely needs to rethink this and create a more organic, realistic system.

Getting a mixed amount of sacks , but I'm only in pre season of my franchise so a lot of back ups so it's tough to say till I get to the regular season

cpu qb always takes sacks when u hurry him he should throw ball downfield so lame

I feel like QB's should get happy feet more and scramble. It seems like their movement is limited. I'm not saying scramble back and forth between the hashmarks every play, but when I'm averaging 7-8 sacks a game on AM it's pretty ridiculous.

Im getting about 4 or 5 sacks a game in total which is probably the NFL average

I'm playing on all pro, in online franchise mode with Chicago. Through 12 games, I'm leading the league in sacks with 69. The next closest CPU team has 37. Pass block was set on 60...I wanted to play through a season before changing too many sliders. I've played one game since the tuning update and sacked Brees 8 times. I like the game though, overall. Actually, it would be nice if linebackers didn't have 41 inch verticals when playing zone, but whatever, I still dig it.

It's week 3 in my franchise and I have 9 sacks with Corey Lemonier. Most of them are user sacks. Against the Bears, I got 9 team sacks(Lemonier had 6). The bears finished with -13 total yards.

Have any of you guys tried messing with the tackling slider? I feel the tackling slider affects the defense's aggression and its ability to get off of blocks.

# 17 jvjc1233 @ 09/07/14 11:22 AM
In my Dolphins CFM, I have 28 through 3 games. I have the blocking slider up to a 78 but still hasn't made a difference

They seem about right...maybe some games there are one or two too many, but for the most part it's been decent. My only complaint is that the sacks seem to come and go in streaks, like multiple sacks happening on just one drive after they didn't happen at all the whole game up until that point.

I know they said they tweaked the "release from block" algorithm to lessen the chances that a def lineman will get free for a sack. That's great but they also need to tweak the QB awareness so they get rid of the ball when heavily pressured. If all they did was the release block change then they did not do enough or the right things.

Whatever algorithm or logic they use to allow the QBs to get rid of ball faster needs to be changed. Whether that is in the traits area of hidden ratings.

Using Armor & Sword's sliders which are really good. I bumped the CPU Pass Blocking up to 100 and still getting a ton of sacks. I even tried player locking on the FS so there were no user generated sacks and my Niners (-Aldon Smith) managed 10 sacks against the Bears.

I'm getting about 8+ sacks a game.

Just way to easy to break blocks. Kind of ruining an otherwise really great game.
