I'll have to hear some more details first. I want to be excited but I don't want another Ride or whatever it was called. I hoping for an underground type of game.

I'd settle for a patch for Tony Hawk HD on PS3. Buggy as all get out. Hard locks after 30-40 minutes. Not likely to buy another if they won't support the existing product. Activision is good at orphaning games....just look at COD4 on PS3 right now. Won't start unless you turn off the internet. So no thanks.

And I know that's a couple old games there at this point but I don't want to buy a time bomb.

The series was absolute garbage when Proving Ground came out. I remember playing that game at a friend's and being dumbfounded by how terrible the game was.

If they can return to Underground or even Pro Skater style, then I might consider. But I'd rather have Skate 4.

What is the fourth choice supposed to mean? Is that some meme-type thing I'm missing?

Anyway I'm not into skating at all, but those old Tony Hawk Underground games were pretty fun. I loved creating my own park with ridiculous things and then just playing in it with friends. I have a lot of memories with those games.

If the new game was of a high quality I'd consider buying it after a price drop or two.

The fourth option is for the people who believe that BlackBox's abandonned Skate series was way better than the recent Tony Hawk games, and thus, much more deserving of a next-gen sequel.

BlackBox, unfortunately, was shut down by EA in 2013.

Not skate, but Project Blank is looking promising for Realistic

http://www.projectblank.org/ (should support him)

he is a Original BlackBox Team Member (from the OG Days), and got asked to work on a NEW Skate Game (not by BB though)

eitherway TONY HAWK SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Ah... I'd never even heard of "Skate." I was reading the poll option in the sense of "skate" just being an ordinary verb, not a name of something.

On another note... seriously... "Skate"? They couldn't come up with a better name?

That's like if EA ditched their Madden series and just put out a game called "Football".

I did enjoy the first two Tony Hawk games, but by third one, the gameplay just became too obsessed with wanting you to hold one or two mega-combos per run.

At least the second game did have a "sim mode" code that would bring the physics closer to reality. I don't recall there being a code like that in any other Tony Hawk, unfortunately.

I thought the Tony Hawk games were a blast up through Tony Hawk Underground. I lost interest after that.

I'll keep an eye on this, but my interest level from just a game announcement alone is somewhere between "meh" and "mildly interesting".

Is it the same franchise as this?

If so, I might get this game. Played the hell out of that on N64, might be kind of fun to play a modern day skate game.

Not Skate.

Gave up on this series a long time ago and I'm not looking for a comeback, haven't they tried to revive it like 3 times already?

It's not skate. I'm not interested.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games were awesome until Skate came out and showed us all what a real skateboarding game was

anything post-underground ranged from forgettable to trash anyway

Whoa, I hadn't heard that. Does that mean no Skate 4 in the works or did they just send the project to somebody else?

Tony Hawk 2 and 3 were absolutely amazing imo. Great fun ... good in SP and MP. I havent played one in a LONG time, since PG lost my interest. Hope to see them go back to the roots with better graphics, physics and multiplayer.

3 was amazing. Just was missing a few things they added later down the line. Like spine transfers and a few other things.
