Seattle 31-14. Defense wins championships and it is hard to dismiss Seattle's #1 ranking.

Another area is turnovers. Seattle creates many and Russell Wilson, although not great statistically, doesn't hurt his team with turnovers.

Im going with my heart and say Denver wins it, cause Im a Manning fan, but if I were a betting man I would bet on the Seahawks to win it, cause Defense and complete teams wins championships not QB's like idiots like Skip Baliss tries to say.
Hopefully Denvers D and their running game steps up to the plate, cause they will be needed for the Broncos to come out winners.

IMO: the team who gets more favoritism from the officials.

Both these teams have units that have gotten away with some pretty chippy stuff this season. Hopefully, the refs will just let the status quo continue, but I have a feeling - on the grandest stage - they will poke their noses in and make there presence be known.

My money is literally on Seattle, 29-23.

Broncos- 34
Seahawks- 23

I just can't see the Seahawks offense being able to keep up with Peyton. The Seahawks D is great, but the Broncos have too many weapons IMO.

Manning and the Denver Offense is better at what it does than Seattle's defense is at what it does. If Kapernick could throw from the pocket even half a lick Seattle wouldn't even be here (Kapernick ignored 2-3 WIDE OPEN players on that last throw). So I really don't see how they can beat Denver unless the Denver wide receivers hold a "drop-a-thon" with Manning's passes. Besides, what is Wilson going to do? He had one lucky touchdown chuck on a busted play in the NFC Champ game. This whole Legion of Boom marketing concept is making this game sound way more interesting than it really is. Denver by 14.

I think Manning will have to simultaneously catch the snap and throw the ball to put up 34 points against that defense.

Seattle can't cover everyone, but they can disrupt timing. If they get away with the physical play, Manning will have dudes in his lap before he finds a window to squeeze the ball into.

If Seattle can't play physical in the secondary, then this one might get out of hand early.

I'm banking on the refs not wanting that kind of attention tho.

I think you can attribute some of Kaep's throwing from the pocket, with the fact that he was gutting the defense on the ground. Can't rush hard upfield and give the QB that running lane.

Manning isn't a running threat, so the ends can pretty much pin their ears back and get after him. He's not gonna escape the pocket and run for 20+ yards.

I have money on Seattle even though the general consensus seems to be leaning towards Denver.

MVP - Peyton Manning

Seattle-20
Denver-16

Seattle's D will be too much for Peyton. Peyton's a boss in the regular season and non-Super Bowl playoff games, but there's a reason he's 1-1 in Super Bowls. He can't get it done when it really matters. His "ducks"? Seattle's D-Backs are too opportunistic for that to work for long. When Kaepernick threw ducks, those were either batted down or intercepted. Plus, look at the two defenses the Broncos had to go up against to get here. San Diego and New England. Not exactly elite, and Seattle has the best pass D in the game. I think Peyton throws 3 INTs, and no TDs. The running game will get Denver's lone touchdown. Marshawn Lynch and Seattle will keep the ball away from Denver just enough to get the franchise's first Lombardi.

MVP: Richard Sherman

Seahawks 20
Denver 18

Manning will be frustrated all game by Seattle's defense. Right on que (like the NFL wants) Denver has a late 4th quarter drive bringing them to the 1 yard line. A goal line stand preserves the victory for the Seahawks. Richard Sherman gets to rant about how Demaryius Thomas is just an average receiver.

28-24 Broncos.
Peyton silences critics and wins the MVP

Doesn't get any bigger than #1 D vs #1 O.
I'm pulling for Peyton, but this is going to be a great game.
This could be one of the best Super Bowls ever!

I have no idea who will win, but this will be the greatest super bowl of all time.

# 19 Bat @ 02/01/14 02:04 AM
This has been an awesome season. I am oddly confident of the Hawks winning big, and bringing the fist Lombardi trophy home to Seattle.

Seahawks 37 Broncos 14

Cano signing with the M's , Chris Peterson coaching UW, and a SB trophy. Good stuff.

Go Hawks!

# 20 papasmurf @ 02/01/14 03:01 AM
i told my dad tonight this superbowl matchup kind of reminds me of the one in superbowl 25. much like that game seattle wins by grinding it out and controlling the clock keeping manning and denvers high powered offense off the field. i say seattle 24-21 in overtime .
