The NBA draft begins tonight, with plenty of intrigue despite what many are calling a weaker draft class this year.

To you we ask today, what sport has the best draft out of them all?

NBA is ridiculous the team with the worst record should have the #1 pick

Couldn't the worst teams play bad on purpose then until they build a good team?

what fan base would stand for that and teams are doing that already in other sports

Don't get how anyone voted for MLB. MLBs drafts are the worst. Most guys in the 1st round of the draft you won't even see on MLB roster for several years, and the coverage in general sucks.

I like NHL the most, though I haven't really seen NFL. In NHL, you get to hear fans boo Bettman ALOT each time he steps up to the podium, followed by fans cheering alot the second he says "I have a trade to announce".

I'd vote NBA over NHL if NBA actually got to officially announce deals during the draft. In NHL, trades are announced as soon as they happen and are official as of then too.

NBA because it's the shortest and over in a matter of hours.

NFL and not even close in my opinion. But, it's gotten bad lately because of the extreme thirst for ratings. They need to go back to it being Saturday and Sunday because 1 round on thursday that starts in freakin primetime, 2 on friday that's essentially the same, and the rest on saturday is just annoying.

NHL isn't a major 'Murican sport, it's Canadian, but of the 3 major US sports listed, NFL is the best.

NBA because its the shortest of course and because of the unpredictable. Nature of it.the NFL draft is boring after the first 10 picks

I like the NBA draft, but the NFL is the best by far. Last year, The Hornets did NOT deserve the #1 pick, and of course the #10 pick. They did okay, and got Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers.

Pumped for the draft! If only the warriors drafted I would pick a solid point guard to back up for Steph Curry, assuming Jarret Jack isnt returned. Kent Bazemore at backup PG? Hes a stud, but hes not good enough for that.

the NHL for these very reasons.

1. the teams get to go up and make their own picks at the podium, not the commissioner.
2. they fill arenas with fans. and all the eligible players anxiously waiting to get their jerseys
3. you dont know who is getting drafted (no cut aways to the guy on the phone negotiating a contract first)
4. the amount of trades that take place at a draft

if you picked any other sport you're clearly high. (or american) (or both )

I don't disagree with you regarding NFL being the best, but I DO disagree that NHL isn't a major U.S. sport. There are 23 teams in the NHL the call an American city home, as opposed to 7 Canadian teams. Games are nationally televised on NBC, NBC Sports Network and Versus (or whatever it's currently called). Here in Chicago, every Blackhawks game this season was televised and sold out. For the playoffs, every American arena was full for every game.

In short, stop trolling your bias against hockey, because it's not clever and just immature.

this one isn't even close folks. there is nothing more exciting than the NFL draft and all the hype/combine/pro days that leads up to it. unfortunately next year we'll have to wait like a month longer for draft day to come in the NFL as they pushed it back to may.

Its so David Stern can rig the draft for who he wants with the first pick.

I love the MLB Draft, but I think the NFL Draft is by far the best draft. The Padres sucked in 2003, but no way they deserved to have the number 1 pick of the 2004 MLB Draft over the Tigers.

NBA Draft of course.

NFL.....thanks to the Jets, Raiders, and Philly fans.

I believe the NFL Draft is the best by far.

None of the other drafts (NBA,NHL,MLB) really interest me.

Holy ambiguous question Batman!

Which sport has the best presentation of their draft? Definitely NBA. Only draft that is remotely interesting to watch. And by remotely I mean I will watch it until I find the remote, whereas in other sports, I just get up and unplug the TV to stop the pain immediately.

But I think MLB has the best draft system in place. Other sports have too many excessive rules. "Cap this exception that. Unguaranteed contracts of required time allowances and deadlines for declarations of independence... only so as to acquire Bird years under current payment structures"

Okay half of that is gibberish but really sometimes I think leagues add rules just for the sake of adding rules. Come on dude just let em play.

They used to do it that way. Ushered in the lottery system when the league uncovered evidence of bad teams tanking to try and earn the top pick.

Since NBA cares so much about trimming payroll spending, they should tie draft order to wins and payroll.

Tying it directly to payroll just encourages teams to leave their team barren on purpose. Including wins (and including playoff wins) rewards teams that win without exorbitant salaries.

So
Team Season Wins (including playoffs) / Total Team Payroll
Sort all 30 teams by that number and there's your draft order.

So like a team that wins 60 games with a total payroll of 500 thousand, would get a higher draft spot than a team that wins 60 games with a total payroll of 1 mil.

There's my random fantasy idea for 2013.
