Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One

The dust has settled and a lot of the questions we had about what Microsoft and Sony are bringing to the table have been answered. There are still very important details such as pricing to be determined -- but we know what each console is largely bringing to the table.

Which of the two major consoles are you planning on buying within the next year? Sound off by voting in our poll to your right on the frontpage and above you in the forums.

Just not sure which one first. All depends on xbox live and if you can have the 360 and X1 running at the same time.

Waiting until E3 but right now I'm leaning toward PS4

Great question. If they keep Live up for 360 as they did for the original xbox for a few years, can you play on One and on 360 at the same time or will your profile be blocked?

Wife on Netflix upstairs and me loggin in on One downstairs, bam goes her movie........couch for me. Come on Xbox!

Neither until they prove me that it's reliable and won't break 3 times in the first year.

More incline to buy a PS4 than an XBOX Core if I'm buying a new system.

Not sure which one of the next gen consoles I'm getting, but either way, it won't be soon. I didn't get PS3 until like 3 years after PS3 was out(so around the middle years of PS3s lifespan) so prob won't even get next gen console till 2016 or something(though in 2016, I'm obviously gonna have way more money than I did in 2010, so I might even think bout getting it earlier lol)

Leaning towards PS4 right off the bat. Mainly because The Show is a PS exclusive and there are not too many Xbox exclusives that tickle my fancy.

Also, there are too many unanswered questions with the new Xbox. Does it require an internet connection every 24 hours? if so why? what if I don't have a reliable connection ALL the time? I use my phone as a wireless modem, what if my phones dies or my service has issues that lasts more than 24 hours? What about used games? do I have to buy and sell them to the MS store? WAY too many ifs and what's if you ask me.

I plan on buying the ps4 first. I have gamefly and I'm not happy about having to pay full MSRP to play a used game. I buy all my sports games new, but I rent everything else. I'm not sure if I will ever buy the xbox1 just because of that. Maybe I will in a couple years when the price goes way down.

I'm sitting out the initial rush. Too much $$, not enough games, I don't have as much gaming time as I used to. NHL14 and GTA:V will keep me busy on X360 this fall.

I will get both. First going toget the ps4. And the one somewhere next year. First time ill get the ps first. But this year sony got me really exited for ps4. They were focust on games and i like game. Microsofts main focust isnt on game anymore.

As of now going with the PS4.

I'm always a later convert when it comes to a new generation of consoles. When I do switch over, it will be to a PS4. But that will not be for at least a year, probably longer.

xbox one. I have 5 360's right now and im not switching platforms, for those that say MS isnt focused on games in anymore, I dont see where you got that from in the live reveal, games are a no brainer it was about showing what else it could do yesterday if they just showed a bunch of games yesterday I would have been pissed, its a gaming machine we know that, what else can it do.

# 16 BCDX97 @ 05/22/13 02:34 PM
I don't want to buy either system until there are several games I want out for it, so I won't be buying anything at launch - unless I'm blown away.

But I'm leaning toward switching back to Sony and the PS4 because Microsoft continuing to focus on everything BUT games is really rubbing me the wrong way.

5 360s!!!??? Why would you need that many? I want my GAME console to be games first and oh it also plays Netflix too, not Netflix! Netflix! Netflix! TV! TV! TV! and here's some games I suppose. So I'm most likely getting a PS4 (I'll get to play The Show!).

If used games are not allowed, I will not buy it, Period. I can upgrade my PC again with that money. Yes, I know you can not buy used games on pc, but I can get them a helluva lot cheaper on steam. I love sports games, but I play a lot of genres of games and only own a console for the sports games. Hate to give that aspect of gaming up, but I certainly will. I will be sad for a while, but I will be ok....

# 20 DubTrey1 @ 05/22/13 03:03 PM
I will be getting both. No question.
