Hard for me to care about hockey anymore since my Thrashers moved to Winnepeg.

I enjoy NHL 2k10 more than I enjoy the NHL.

I am definitely excited for hockey to be back, though I think this is a silly poll question...

Absolutely.

Best sports you can watch on a nightly basis - best game in the world!

This. Been enjoying hockey since late September.

NHL games always been a breath taking. It is full of thrill and results are always uncertain. Even the last minutes didn't allow spectators to leave the row.

No.

Honestly, I kind of wish the NHL would go the way of bowling like someone suggested one time.

Living in the Northeast, people won't shut up about hockey or the Patriots in football. Now that the Pats are out, they ignore the Celtics and focus on the Bruins. Least favorite time of year as a sports fan. Spring training is just around the corner though...

Definitely much desired sport to watch this time of year. The NBA ("I am open therefore I must shoot") is just dreadful to watch any longer. The NHL calibre of athletes is incredible to watch when you think about all that they are coordinating at the same time.

do I care? Not really. Not much of a hockey fan and when I watch hockey I prefer the KHL.

They were still trying to get fan support back from the last lockout, now this? It will always be the 5th best American sport..

# 13 rockchisler @ 01/22/13 02:32 PM
I mean 5th Best American Major professional sport.

Was I mad during the lockout? yes. But the lockout is long gone and I can finally enjoy hockey. I really don't understand why people were mad during the lockout, yet refuse to watch it now just to prove a point. Your loss.

And I wish basketball would do that.

Don't you think that's just a bit extreme of a stance to take? It's cool that you hate hockey and all, but why do you have a problem with other people liking it?

Actually more than I thought. I'm normally pretty casual about hockey.....maybe that time off was good for me. Guess I missed it and didn't realize it.

Yeah that really sucks and still stings but I root for the Jets. I invested myself into those players (which a lot of them are still the same guys that were with the Thrashers). Even though I have to watch online (which sucks) but I'm so happy NHL is back.

The idiot who said the NHL was more exciting then NBA is dumb. The only fun part about hockey is the fighting nobody say anybody want to come watch this hockey game later. The NBA is so exciting with all the things that can happen and the skills it takes. Besides you can't even see the pick go into the net. ESPN doesn't even care about The NHL the only thing they said was the lockout is over. How the hell do you cancel all hockey games back in 03'.And nobody still cares.NHL should've stayed in Canada were it belongs. The NBA, NFL, and MLB will always be the big three of American sports

Before being so cavalier, take a look at that poll. I'm happy that the NHL is back and it's a perfect complement to the CeHL. I'd rather watch a bad hockey match than a good basketball game; you're mileage may vary.
