NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here

The NBA 2K13 demo is available now on the Marketplace for Xbox Live "GOLD" members (available next week for Silver). Most are getting it by searching for "2K13" or going to Genre ---> Sports and Recreation. You can also queue it up right here.

The PS3 demo arrives later this afternoon, we'll update this post when it's available.

UPDATE: PS3 demo is available now. If you don't see it, search for it.

The new controls take a little while to get used to, so make sure you check out the Controls trailer, we posted yesterday.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Miami Heat
1 Five minute quarter
Quick Game and Online Quick Match. Can't invite friends, just random.
Can't change sliders, camera view, make substitutions or call plays
No commentary
Kinect enabled
943 MB

Tried to play a head to head match online and it froze while searching...

HOLY. ****.

For the first time since 2k11...I was actually able to beat someone off the dribble (with Westbrook) just by being faster than him. No magical defenders sliding in place, he got beat and was too slow to recover.

Now, the demo lets you change sides between the Heat (who they automatically put you on) and the Thunder.

As for the Online portion it is an Online Quick Match. Presumable it's 1 quarter but I'm having dribble with the dribbling right now. I'm forced to do simple things (A cross or a hesitation), then hold turbo to beat Mario Chalmers

Oh, and yeah. It's going to take a while to get used to holding the left trigger to get shots off. Feels more natural just to tap X if you want to finish in the lane.

Just finished a ONline game and it was smooth but what amazed me was the DEFENSE. The defense is crazy this year it's like you can actually play D for once now.

Very glad to hear we have a choice between the Heat or Thunder. This demo can't download any faster!

They gave Ibaka AND Perkins defensive anchor?

This might need some roster tweaks...

Wow! This gameplay is smooth and this is just the demo I mean wade plays like himself and bron is a power house when coming at full steam now just great

WOW.

D-Wade just got completely bodied by Perkins when he tried to go yam in the paint. He still made the fluke shot (Doesn't he always

) but it was wonderful physics at work there.

Love hearing the impressions about being able to best your man off the dribble with faster players. That one thing almost ruined 2K12 for me

this is gonna take a while to get used to. im used to using LT while im dribbling and thats the shoot button now.

I'm not sure, but it says both are active at the same time. The skill lights up when it's active (and you can see them by pressing UP on the d-pad).

Right now though it's all strange because it's in broadcast cam. Going from 2K to broadcast cam is no joke in terms of pulling moves off

Can't tell you Wade's (simply because I switched to late to check like a ******* >.>) but Bosh only has 1 and it appears to be Spot Up Shooter (as Mario Chalmers also has the same symbol)
