I am very positive towards the idea, but I think we will need to experience the new system it in order to properly judge it.

We need to play around with it (pause) before we see how it is. Sounds good though.

I like the idea but i would definitely need to play with it first (^^pause^^..lol)..probably will switch it back to the controls from 2k12 becuz of the shot variety i had with the right stick..Cant Wait til October......

It was a necessary change and will work great with the new gameplay.

As long as its not "too easy" I'll be fine with it.

I think some people that don't like the 2k hoops game, don't like it because they never really took the time to learn the controls.

Making it easy to pull off any move with any player is a bad move imo. I'm not saying that's what they are doing, but we'll see.

I concur. I especially like how u can toggle to the shot stick with a trigger. Nice touch.

I think it sounds great, I've hated shot stick since day one and have never used it consistently. I just stuck with face buttons for shooting. I really like doing tricks with the right stick, it's the only way that a basketball can feel fluid is to have it this way. Very pumped!

Has everyone forgotten that they had this before in NBA2k5?

I laughed a little bit at the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" option. I realize the hardcore folks have gotten very good at isomotion, but for probably 75% of us, isomotion is way too complicated. IMO, that makes it broken, and in need of fixing.

I don't see this as terribly revolutionary, though. I'm pretty sure they had right stick dribbling back on 2K3 or 2K2. At the time, it was a little over-powered, but I thought it felt really intuitive and was easy to use.

Glad to see it, since I am a button guy and rarely used all of the moves at my disposal for lack of really investing time in them. I am more glad to see the hop step make it's button return

So far, I like what I'm hearing. Though playing on it will tell the real truth.

I know there's going to be an exploit from it that is going to be used, and players who are a victim of it will come on here to complain about it. Just watch it'll happen.

Bottom line, we're giving you the ability to play the way you want to play 2K13. If you adopt the Control Stick fully, you'll have more control over your player than any basketball has ever given in the past... hands down. But if you want a more casual pick up and play experience, we accommodate that as well. Hope that answers some questions.
I love this. They have given you more control but if you don't want to put in the time to master it that's cool just stick with the old way.
If you want to really improve and refresh a game that's released yearly you have to be willing to risk changing what people are used to.

I can't wait with the physics engine and the controls you can drive to the lane, and what I really love is how they helped on ball defenders with it as well

With the new control stick being able to add more moves with better movement is a diffinite plus in my book. I just hope they have some sig style ball handling for the elite guards (Darren Williams, Derrick rose, etc). By the way this is my first post, so I would like to say hello Fam.

they've already confirmed that the old Control scheme will be out of the game. This is the new control scheme going forward.

The reasoning I heard for it was this: (and I am paraphrasing)
"With such a drastic change in the control schemes we think its important that everyone get on board with this as soon as possible."

It's already been judged. NBA live 10 had this feature and it was amazing! Finally 2k takes a great feature out of the NBA live playbook and uses it to improve the 2k gameplay. Another thing that ea does better, spacing on the floor in 2k is no good. It's almost like the players are physically too big for the court. It seemed to easily get over crowed. So annoying. Live has the better spacing. Players in NBA live were perfect for the size of the court. Either than that, I'm Sooooo excited!
