The top 10 quarterbacks in Madden NFL 13 have been revealed.

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers 99 overall
2. Tom Brady, New England Patriots 98 overall
3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints 98 overall
4. Eli Manning, New York Giants 97 overall
5. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers: 95 overall
6. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos: 93 overall
7. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers: 92 overall
8. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions: 91 overall
9. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys: 90 overall
10. Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles: 89 overall

he played the last 9 games with 2 cracked ribs when he was healthy the team was 5-2 so that says a lot

Obvioulsy im being biased, but i think Brees should be ahead of Brady. Especially after the record setting season he just had.

For those concerned that the authentic qb throwing motions were removed, they weren't.

I must not have any sort of touch with the twitter. I tweeted this question a few months ago when the vids started rolling out and got crickets.

@Madwolf - good list, but I'm with Rob, I'd put Cutler and Ryan over Fitzpatrick

Thanx for the tweet. I know you tweeted them about the broadcast cameras from last year being in and they said they were, but we still haven't seen any evidence. I hope they show off the fact that both are in soon.

Still shocked Newton is not on the list.. it looks like RGIII will get the top speed in Madden (FB poll), is he really gonna be the fastest qb in real life? Never really watched much of him. Just curious.

EA will tweak ratings during preseason and before the game comes out right? If I am correct on that then what is the big deal with releasing ratings and freaking out about them?
Fact is they are way to high unfortunately. Not even sure why EA uses a 99 point scale if they are going to rate so many players on the high end.

How can anybody consider Cutler a top 10 quarterback? 13 TDs and 7 INTs with 58% passes completed. That is a top 10 quarterback? Cutler should be rated about a 79. Low 80s at the highest.

Stafford on the other hand, 41 TDs, 16 INTs and over 5000 yards passing with 63.5% passes completed. He should easily be 5 overall points better than Cutler at the absolute least.

I'd say that the 10 quarterbacks rated already should be:

Aaron Rodgers - 99
Tom Brady - 96
Drew Brees - 96
Peyton Manning - 91
Eli Manning - 91
Ben Roethlisberger - 90
Phillip Rivers - 88
Matthew Stafford - 87
Michael Vick - 85
Tony Romo - 84

and even on EA's crazy scale where everybody is a 90+, Eli Manning should still only be a 95 on their scale. 97 is a rating that should represent guys like John Elway and Dan Marino. Eli is maybe a hall of famer thanks to his super bowls but he is no Elway/Marino.

Cam Newton is not on that list because nobody knows if he was a one year stats wonder. As silly as that sounds anything is possible. Like look at vick two years ago compared to last year. It was like two totally different guys. Cam has another great year this year and you will see him on that list this time next year.

EA needs to overhaul their (football) rating system; there are relatively minor differences between great players and bad players. I would suggest a letter grade rating system--instead of a numerical system--so that we can see more difference(s) between players.

Not the place for a "real" football talk, but Fred Jackson was a big part of that 5-2 start also.

40 time wise, Vick is. He doesn't look like he's lost any speed either. The fans will ruin some ratings.

Yeah, it didn't look too good but that could have been an early build (although I don't know why they would advertise this late with a beta build or whatever).

The demo will be out soon enough and will tell the tale.

I'm a skins fans so take this with a grain of salt, but RGIII ran a 4.35 and was on the Baylor track team. I think he is faster than Vick today. Maybe not when Vick first came out, but today I think RGIII is faster.

That said, these fan vote polls on ratings undermine the entire madden ratings. What research goes into these if "fans" can dictate some ratings. It's especially crazy to let them pick a rating like speed which is the end all be all in this generations madden.

Brees it better than Rodgers, he should be a 99 not Aaron. He broke one of the hardest records. Weather the Packer were 15-1 it does not matter, Brees should be first.

By any metric, whether team accomplishments or individual production, Ben has outplayed Eli. Sorry that's just reality.
