Despite the fact that I don't think EA will halt production to create the perfect engine (or even a really good one) for fiscal reasons, I do believe (based on NHL and NBA) they have plans to slowly introduce physics to their engines. It's not the perfect solution, but it's something, right?

It's just I think that's one hole. I guess I just wish that the execs would let them come forward and say: "Okay, we screwed up. We know there are some massive holes in the gameplay and we here's the roadmap to how we are going to address them. If you see any others, please bring them to us as we want to make the best product." Right now, it feels like an "us/them" situation at times and they don't really acknowledge that there are significant issues.
I just read all 30 some odd pages and this post right here is probably the most interesting, concerning, light-shedding of why things are the way they are and how I feel exactly and I'm sure there are ten's of thousands who feel exactly the same.

I'm just as frustrated and just as unsurprised how this all goes every year. Nothing will probably ever stop me from buying the game, it can be the same engine to a "T" with these aesthetics added and without a doubt I'd happily buy my new copy of '12 at midnight.

EA will fix issues, probably never admit some things, yet they make some progress year to year. Every now and then some big leaps, great ideas/concepts which will always need tweaking. But, to think they'd ever possibly double their production costs to develop a brand new game engine that could not be ready until two releases later is seemingly far-fetched and an ideal.

Still excited for the dreads and accessory updates.

Wish though we didn't always just get these "zoomed" replay screenshots rather than actual gameplay screenshots first, they seem misleading to me. The detail in the grass and things seem like the rate to render it in action might be a bit much.

Man, I can't stand playing Madden.

I skip Madden last year.

Love the new Dreads and the grass in the pic. even the cutting and footwork looks much improved.

does anyone know if they will have different lengths of dreads? or will they all be extremely long like this example. if I know ea then we will just get these. it only took five years to get them and they made them goofy. go figure. 80% of players with dreads have it down to about their name. ea probably got this wrong and will have 100% of players with dreads down to the middle of the numbers.

I just hope the player body types aren't determined by their position, all linemen and linebackers are huge no matter their weight. Can they get the revo helmets right and get rid of those ugly Qb facemasks that no one wears.

I'm excited about the dreads and all, but there's a lot more than can be added. Just a few ideas. The weather should impact the field as well as the game, it's almost impossible to have a illusive running back and he never slips during the rain. Also the field should be worn out after a heavy dose of rain and a full game played.

The dynasty mode should be a lot deeper, for instance; if you are returning an impact quarterback, I would like to see the stats shown from last season versus a conference opponent or rival.

It would also be nice to make the team builder dynasty more in depth, you should be able to upgrade the stadium as years pass and you have establish yourself as a powerhouse, also you should be able to represent your conference on your uniforms as well as your home field.

Last but not least make halftime more exciting, show the players inside the locker room and expressions of their body language resulting from the halftime results. Also when the team take the field before the game it should be a lot accurate. I play with FSU I would love to see Chief Osceola ride out on Renegade and spike the flaming spear into the mid field. We need more coaches, on the side line that we can see, with coaches uniforms on. Come on EA let's make the best college football game franchise the best HANDS DOWN!!

Elbow brace on Bostic (UF #52) looks new to me.

I still can't believe how good that pic looks.

I just hope we get numerous camera options this year to really show off the visuals. Custom cameras FTW!

Based on this picture.. what if you could attempt to tackle (or at least grab), or trip a guy running past you while you are down on the ground?

Btw, anyone remember around when did last year's NCAA 11 demo come out? I'm thinking that this year's demo might come out at about the same time. I can't wait to try the demo..

Will this facemask be in the game?

The demo came out on June 14th last year, one month before the game released.

As predictable as a sunrise.

I will never understand why people devote time and energy towards games that they do not like and frustrate them.

If you dont like it, dont play it.

If video games frustrate you so much, dedicate your leisure time elsewhere.

100% Amen!!!

# 276 sinc79 @ 03/26/11 02:22 PM
please don't have so many players come into dynasty with 'regular' sleeves, looks really bad. At least give the option to mass updated a teams sleeves (socks, helmets, gloves, whatever). I would happily go through and update the sleeves to tight on every team at the beginning of every season, I think they look that bad and unnatural.

# 277 sinc79 @ 03/26/11 02:31 PM
EA look at Taylor Martinez above. That is what 'regular' sleeves should look like. Now go up and look at Miami #6 at the very top, it's not close to the real thing. They are bulky and awkward looking. Please fix. Or at least make 80-90% of players have 'tight' sleeves by default. If you are so concerned about fixing color contrast in the shadows, please be concerned about how the jersey sleeves look in all lighting situations. Been asking about this for years.

I'd love a global editor.
