I enjoyed it. I really liked the co-op features. There are a TON of options in the demo and i think it gives you a great preview of the the game to come. Which is what a good demo is supposed to do. The game itself doesnt feel that much different than last year unless of course you adopt the new Pure Analogue controls. But I like my face buttons. Still, being able to split duties with friends is totally worth a purchase. I loved the camera angle options. I cant wait to see more bells and whistles in the full version of the game (like the new ESPN ticker with live updates).

I'm sold... well let's be honest I preordered before the demo. The analog is a challenge at the plate on the higher difficulties. Good stuff.

The analog is a nice try, but doubt I will use it. Game otherwise should be solid as always.

Not into it. Planning to go with 2K.

I buy it every year and I will continue. The new stuff this year excites me enough to get me to buy. But the demo was sorta dull, that admittedly could be because of the unfamiliarity with the controls.

It's what I expected, but then again I expected nothing but excellence. MLB The Show is the one game I would buy without trying a demo; it has that much trust with me. I didn't like the new analog hitting, but the pitching and fielding work for me. The big thing for me (even if it sounds crazy to you) is that they have mix-'n-match uniforms this year along with stadium specific graphics. I would have been OK without things like the new scoreboard that Chuck bought, but it made it in the game. That alone shows me the dedication of the San Diego Studio.

Of all things about the improved RTTS, I can't wait to buy MLB 11: The Show.

Looked and felt great. Better than last year's and waaaaaaaaay better than 2k11. It's a good thing I already pre-ordered this [redacted].

I really think they should have focused more on developing the actual franchise, presentation and AI more.

Here are some things that I would have focused on:

Add pop up tidbits, stats and factoids during the game similar to NBA 2K11

Add dynamic commentary that is aware of situational league standings, performances and stats and make intelligent references such, "The Mets are 3 games out of the wildcard so this game has alot of ...." and "The Braves have outscored the Phillies 14-3 in 4 games this series" etc, etc

Add more organic plays at the bases and more variety and excitement on close tag plays

Add real collision dynamics, tags hitting a player's leg, player's that can collide, hit balls that can cause a glove to deform based on the amount of impact and velocity. etc

Add a link to previous season's stats, standings, boxscores, post season results that players can look back each year like an ALMANAC or a HISTORY section.

Add dynamic Manager Styles that have different managing strategies and philosophies to make each team have a different style of play.

IMPORT FRANCHISE Feature so many of us can enjoy the new features each year of a new game but still CONTINUE our old franchises so we dont have to start all over again!

More Alternate and Throwback Uniforms for each team

More variety in the animation of fielding situations especially in the outfield like the excitment of chasing down flyballs and just missing them and stumbling, or an outstretched leaping play, etc

More variety and individuality in the players and their unique routines or even fielding styles. You got down most of the batting and pitching styles...Now focus on the fielding styles.

More separation and elevated Playoff atmosphere from added commentary, better and more focused analysis on why these teams are in the playoffs and what they need to do to succeed and who to watch out for. Altho, I dont know if this actually has been addressed yet.

These are just a few things off the top of my head that would make the game much more immersive and take it to the next level
You might as well stop playing video baseball and attend Mets games instead. That's where you'll see collisions and a variety of errors.

I know you are a chronic complainer, Lisa, but I didn't know you played this years version of the game and had seen whether or not these were in the game already.

It is about what I expected...

I really liked it. I am very excited!

I don't know how someone can same it is the same as previous version when the whole control scheme is different.

To each their own.

# 20 CWood2 @ 02/27/11 07:17 PM
The new analog controls feel better than I ever remember from MVP. Timing the leg kick was easily my favorite addition ... I'm more excited than I thought I'd be (shockingly).
