I actually am. I have never played the Finght Night series. But I am looking forward to this one.

I would be over the top excited, but I am concerned they are going to un-simulate fatigue so "casuals" are allowed to throw hundreds of punches without consequence. Hope I am wrong. If fatigue truly works as advertised or better, this game has potential to be sim heaven online (fingers crossed)

I am interested in the story mode, and hope it has branching story paths on whether you win or lose (doubt it).

Legacy mode mostly untouched, but supposedly slightly upgraded (hopefully).

Im with You Sausage.. The Online has to be True Simulation.. I am Excited.. But If The Gamaplay is Little Arcade I Might Walk Away From this Game....

I voted the second option.

I'm reading about all the gameplay improvements and thats all good. But I'm a presentation guy. (Ex: The Show and NBA 2K)

And the videos I've seen so far looks like they did very little to improve that area.

Very, I've done real boxing and it's not pretty.

I have zero interest in the new story mode. I get bored during cut scenes of good games such as Red Dead & Alan Wake. Why would I want to watch cut scenes in a boxing game?

EA sports boxing games keep getting more and more realistic each release.... love it

I never like the poll options with questions like this. None of these would be the words I'd use to describe my anticipation for FN, or any other game.

I cant for the new Fight Night, I had alot of fun Round 4. This should be another great boxing game.

Hell yes. Most anticipated sports game of 2011 for me. I like FN4, sports game of the year for me in 09. This looks a couple of steps above rd 4.

Im very excited about the new fight night game. I checked out the roster and im pleased. Of course it wouldve been better had EA been able to gain and regain the license of some of the boxers (especially money mayweather so i could witness a fight that will never take place between he and pacquaio lol). FNR 4 met my expectations and i feel this game will exceed them... hopefully! only thing i wish they would implement boxing while in clinches.... it would make it a little more realistic in my opinion. oh yeah, PRESENTATION PRESENTATION PRESENTATION... it does matter! Follow the pattern of the instant classic: NBA 2K11!

Yea, I'm excited about a storyline and how realistic it's gonna be but i'm not overly excited because I wish they can put in certain ppl in roster so we can play with current up to date ppl like I dunno hmmm Floyd Mayweather for one. I'm a bigger boxing fan than MMA but UFC has everybody in there game, and yes yes i know contracts and stuff like that but damn EA you guys have money give them what they want so we can get what we want

The accurate words to describe my anticipation are "Cautiously Optimistic".

There's nothing really eye-popping that makes me really excited for the game, so I'm just hoping the overall package is well done and that the gameplay is as solid and realistic as it can get.

And for comparison, I was very excited for Fight Night Round 4 pre-release.

i'll wait for reviews and 2nd & 3rd opinions before i buy it. i don't trust EA to make anything realistic.....

Not interested in story mode for sports games, but i am definitely looking forward to it especially one punch knock outs.

Looking for them to finally bring the boxing equivalent of a good "dynasty mode". Realistic purses, dealing with promoters, picking fight locations, ring size, glove size etc. and above all presentation! A big part of boxing is about hype, press conferences, weigh ins, staredowns, the build up etc. No announcer for early fights, a "Friday Night Fights" team for mid-level fights (which they have) and finally get me some Jim Lampley for the BIG ones.

I really don't care about the "story mode" thing. Especially if the RTG mode in NCAA is any indication. Just give me a full featured realistic career mode with presentation to spare. Less Rocky movie and more real life.

I'd like that, but I'm more focused on the needed gameplay improvements. As expressed in the boxing forum the lack of substantial improvement to footwork is a detriment but I'm not willing to call it a game killer.

It looks like a good game, but boxing games do nothing for me. I don't even follow boxing anymore.
