Between having the Master as well as using DLC course's in offline career, this is the golf game I personally have been waiting for.

All the other added features are just icing on the cake. I pre-ordered yesterday moring.

depends on if the game delivers in the gameplay department. Otherwise I could care less.

With only a limited number of courses, then having to pay for just a few more, it's a no buy.

Give us the option to edit our own courses like we had for the computer. Could charge us for it as DLC and make it on the computer like the paint job feature in Nascar 09. Then we could upload them. Could of course make it so you can only download the created courses if you purchased the editor option, because it's all about extra money.

They will never do that even if it's possible though. That's why they killed the PC version and turned it into a subscription service(if that's still going). Too many people were making courses and really enjoying the game. You can't have that much fun and not pay extra.

Its great! so is the the "improvements" to career mode.

Definite buy for me. Haven't gotten a golf game in a few years, and the addition of Augusta makes it a no brainer.

Honestly I can never understand where comments like this come from. First of all, the consoles are not ready for a course editor and there are far too many issues with the "make it on PC then upload for the console" arguments. The tools that EA uses to create Augusta and the other courses cost thousands of dollars and to date there is no "user version" available for anything nearing a reasonable price.

Secondly, EA did NOT kill the PC version because of user-created courses. The PC version died for a number of reasons, but first and foremost, the PC version went away because it was a catastrophic commercial failure for EA Sports and the PC version had stagnated in the last 3-4 versions. Part EA's fault for focusing on the consoles and part commercial failure.

TW Online is still going forward. It is not the kind of game I enjoy as it is geared to the casual/arcade user mainly. That and TW11 for PS3 is the only way I want to play video Golf until TW12 arrives.....

I have refused to buy a tiger game until improvements were made. this is on huge improvement. Now all we need is a complete tour roster and no post shot spin control (I want you to choose your spin pre-shot, like real golf) and a minimum of 4 more courses (20 total) and I would be completely satisfied. but one can only hope
You will have the full PGA TOUR names, but there is absolutely no way that EA can put each and every PGA TOUR Golfer's likeness in the game due to the fact there is no PGA TOUR Players Association like there is for the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc which means EA has to negotiate a license with each and every Golfer which would be incredibly time-consuming and expensive.

You have no post shot spin NOW in TW11 with Pro and TOUR Pro modes. In TW12, they will make Amateur fully arcade because of the horrific backlash from arcade users when TW11 came out. Go take a look at what is being said about Tournament mode in the EA TW forums, especially the settings at Augusta National. AN employees consulted with EA to create the kind of gameplay and conditions that you would actually see playing AN during the Masters Tournament. It sounds like the Tournament difficulty (all aids off) will be the kind of mode that you and most simulation fans have been looking for.....

This is great news!

Tiger Woods is one game that has been done well in the last few years. It can feel like an arcade game or sim. I can play it with my dad who enjoys shooting 50 or play it in tour mode.

This is a great step for EA: Tiger Woods

I seem to have missed this(don't generally buy basketball video games) though i know about the nba elite screwup, what happened with ncaa?

# 11 HustlinOwl @ 01/06/11 12:32 AM
released the game unplayable with numerous glitches including the freeze bug where finishing a game is not possible. Then decided to pull the entire team from the game to work on NBA Live

Not interested; not because of Tiger Woods, just not a fan of the sport. But if this is something the community wanted, good job EA.

Will my DLC(Courses) from PSN from TW11 carry over to TW12? Anyone know?

# 14 raneman85 @ 01/06/11 07:33 AM
To charge 60 bucks then have to pay for DLC. EA produces one good sports game. Drop the DLC's and I'll consider it, otherwise just another ripoff.

Absolute 100% day one buy (Collector's Edition for PS3.) Been waiting close to 20 years to play an authentic Masters in a golf game, and now that I've gotten hooked on motion control gaming, I was literally at the mercy of EA to get this done. Finally, finally, finally!

On top of that, it looks like they aren't just going to tack on the same Move support from last year's patch; the official website has a screenshot showing the Move working in conjunction with the first-person TruView from the Wii version. So it looks like the Move support is also getting some serious attention. If they add in disc and mini golf, I'll be in pure golfing heaven.

But honestly, playing the Masters in HD with a motion controller will be enough to justify the purchase all by itself.

Any word on the carrying over of DLC courses? Do we have to re-purchase them?

# 17 jyoung @ 01/06/11 07:43 PM
The last golf game I bought was Mario Golf 64.

Before that, PGA Tour 95 for DOS.

The Masters are a great feature, but so far it just looks like every other Tiger game to me.

Anyone know the answer to my question? C
Do you have to re-buy DLC courses year after year or does it transfer to the next year?
