Is this a bigger indictment of EA or Hollywood? I'd say Hollywood has officially jumped the shark.

A JOKE!!!!!!!!! My main question is,' SERIOUSLY? '... why is this allowed?

At the MOST, this should be an NFL Network episode. Maybe a 'Top 10' or something.

I think they should focus on the game and not a stupid movie. This has been the first year since I dont know when (maybe 93' sega days) that I have not bought Madden... And they should focus on the running animation cause players with the way they run, just looks dumb.....

This has to be some kind of sick early April Fools joke.

We were talking about this at work the other day. With Brees throwing for 4000 yards, 30+ TD's, and his team on the way to the playoffs, is the curse over?

Why is everyone so up in arms about this? I think it would be pretty cool. The whole "Lets put money towards better things!" argument is stupid. It's EA. They have so much money to throw around that this wont dent their budget one bit.

just something else that will be used as an excuse why some more pressing area of the game won't get any attention.

I disagree. Will it affect the Madden budget? probably not, but in can ADD to it!! Why not?? Sales are down, EVERYBODY knows a change NEEDS to happen soon.

This will be a production worth millions, and you mean to tell me they cant hire a handful of people with that dough to make up for the "lack of time" that they don't have??

Sorry man. I'm not buying it.

Lack of time like putting off improvements to franchise mode for "Next Year"

This is a good idea, seeing how they will lose the license to 2k because of disappointing sales. Take your time EA, take your time.

This is surely something dreamed up by the EA marketing dept. This would be a purely PR type if movie in order to bring in more would be gamers to Madden. Otherwise, this is a really stupid joke.

If true its just more proof EA is clueless. I'd much rather see an ESPN special on how exclusive deals hurt quality and destroyed NASCAR gaming and NFL gaming. Hopefully NASCAR will see a resurrection soon.

"NASCAR the game 2011" is suppose to come around February.

There was another player, I think Eddie George, who had a great year in the year of the cover, but he got injured the following year. Obviously if it's just the year of the cover, yeah, Drew Brees is playing awesomely.

By the same token, I don't know if the curse really affected Favre. He didn't have Drew Brees numbers, but he had two injury-free years. Just a bit of a scramble to swap out the Packers covers with Jets ones.

First the Elite Travesty and now this debacle. I see this as a "big middle finger" to those of us who have been long time supporters of this brand. I really don't know what else to say.
