I am interested in the new pitching mechanics, but for the most part I like everything as is. At least they offer the option to keep using what we currently have.

it's worth a try and the old button controls will still be available. I'm way more excited about true zone hitting because that's a feature that I've been waiting for and should make the game even more realistic.

Interesting choices in the poll.

What about an option:

A GREAT move, options are always good to have...

I do not see how adding analog can make the game or gameplay worse, when it is an OPTION!

The old controls are still in there.

I love the move to analog. When I got my PS3 I was used to MLB2k style batting, and missed the precision of the swing. This is exactly what I've wanted for MLB11.

It's nice that they're adding the choice for it, but other gameplay areas are more impactful on improving the game itself for me.

Just glad to have the option for current controls. I like it as is.

I agree. I may not use it but its still great because its an option.

The show controls have been stale for years, this is a very welcomed addition. In fact, there was no way I was buying the game this year without revamped controls.

How can this be a bad thing if they're giving us the option of using these new controls or using the same method we've had for years?

a GREAT move! Game will be much better.

Wait, is the analog the ONLY option?

Not at all, the button controls are still in according to Ramone and the previews.

Oh, thank god. I'll admit, I'm not with the hardcore-I-like-sports-games-to-be-difficult-2-week-learning-curve group. I'll give the analog a shot but if I dont get the hang of it in after a couple hours, I'm switching back.

My sentiments exactly.

+1

This is huge for me. A GREAT addition. Very excited about this and the camera angles.

long overdue and probably not without some rough edges

Technically it's NOT a "Move" but rather and addition.
I voted great as options are always great.

Again just think about it. No things were removed and they can be mixed and matched to give US the gamers the ability to play the game the way we want and not how the develops thing we should play it.

Right now it's True Zone Hitting for batting and analog pitching. Will certainly try analog hitting but knowing I don't have to use it if I don't like it is just another notch on SCEA's "We Rock" board.

It's a great move because all the other sports game have already moved to the right analog to emulate arms/upper body motions. I hope and I'm confident they have implemented it well, because for example right analog batting in MLB 2K10 is atrocious.

I played Triple Play and they had something like this. I was nice.
