Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition News Post

Gaming Age has posted their Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition preview.

Quote:
"Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition gives players the opportunity to go head-to-head against select NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, including champions such as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart, and the drivers from the iconic "Days of Thunder" film from Paramount Pictures. Featuring multiple single-player and online multiplayer modes, gamers will take the wheel as one of the hottest drivers on the circuit to prove that "you can't stop the thunder!"

In Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition, players will join Rowdy Burns' team as the latest rookie to tear up the NASCAR circuit. With Rowdy as their coach, players will learn to hit the pit, upgrade their ride and trade paint with other cars. They can even "drop the hammer" like Cole Trickle for a boost of extra speed. Rowdy Burns will be voiced by the actor from the film, Michael Rooker, also known for his roles in "Mallrats," "Eight Men Out" and "Cliffhanger." Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition comes equipped with twelve NASCAR-sanctioned tracks, including Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway."

I am not a big Nascar guy but love Days of Thunder. I just wonder how much this will cost

Please do not quote me on this, but I think I remember seeing a price point to be set at $9.99. I could be wrong though, as it's just a vague remembrance.

This title could be a lot of fun, as long as the driving model is well done. It's a day one purchase, as I love NASCAR and the DOT movie.

If it is $9.99 or even $14.99 then as long as it is not garbage I will pick it up.

They better let you hit the pace car in the game!

I don't have a PS3, though, so no game for me.

I was 4 years old when my older bros took me to the theater to see Days of Thunder, i had all the toys and even a lunch box. My brother got the original DOT game for NES, and it was probably one of the first games i ever played. It's kinda cool that they're bringing the game back in this form.

I just wish they would have used the old cars. I loved the Montes. All well...

Cole Trickle, Jeff Gordon, and Rowdy all in one game.

Where the H is Nicole Kidman? They should have a Nicole Kidman leg course!

Harry Hogge: I'm gonna give you an engine low to the ground... extra thick oil pan to cut the wind from underneath you. It'll give you thirty or forty more horsepower. I'm gonna give you a fuel line that'll hold an extra gallon of gas. I'm gonna shave half an inch off you and shape you like a bullet. I'll get you primed, painted and weighed, and you'll be ready to go out on that racetrack. Hear me? You're gonna be perfect.

What is the release date for this? I can't find it anywhere. It looks like Nascar is back with a possible game in 2011. Man I am happy!

I might pick this up especially for the price. I am just waiting on a few impressions before I get it.

I decided to take a chance and bought this game, I figured $10.00 what the heck. My recommendation: Forget the game exists. This could very well be the worst racing game I've ever played. Cars crashing all over the place and the steering control is so touchy it makes the game almost unplayable. I give it a 0 out of 10.

Yeah I really spent some time with the game and tried to find something positive about it, but it's just not there.

Does anyone who has the game know if it has off-line multiplayer?
