Kind of a silly poll. Hasn't Natural Motion already come out and said that it is in early development? Started before the game hit stores?

I am hopeful for more, but the game has to be commercially successful for a BB2 to happen. Keep in mind APF2k9 was announced too, before it was finally confirmed to be 'benched' several months later.

They have bigger things to overcome too like a lack of marketing and poor publisher support that could squander any chance for success by even the best of games.

I highly doubt it ever actually sees the light of day.

They'll have to overhaul pretty much everything(except the physics of course) and add a ton of stuff for anyone to really take it seriously and that just seems like too much work in a year or so for a tiny development team.

The game has to stand on it's own, im not so sure 505 Games is thinking 'well the app made the developer money, maybe the next game will make us some' if this one is a failure.

Even the physics need work, if the players are truly weightless and the engine is predicated on only strength and momentum.

No.. NM goals was to sell there Tech Demo... Don't know about that now since it sounds like EA have the own "Physical Engine" Maybe they should try a basketball game...

I'll be surprised if it sees the light of day also. I know someone said there would but that could have been premature. If sales haven't tanked already they will be nonexistant when the other two football games drop.

The bigger question is will this poll be overrun by random backbreaker faithfuls like all the rest have been on a poll involving Backbreaker? I picked unsure.

This was my belief as well. If the game hit (or surpassed) NM's expectations a sequel would be in the works, if not they have a rock solid display of the euphoria engine for other sports developers; it's win/win for them.

I picked no because I doubt the game will sell well enough to bankroll a sequel. I tried to find sales figures online but I was unable. Has anyone heard/seen sales data?

Yes we will.

Why? It was confirmed before the release of BB.

# 11 BlackJack_Williams @ 06/09/10 03:22 PM
I think it will. It can improve on the negatives of the game and be a true contender in the football franchise. Well, if they can get the NFL license that is lol because no one will give it a chance without that.

Personally, I'm hoping we will.

Even tho BB wasn't the greastest the first time around. I think the Dev team can learn more about american football and do a better job next tume around. They really need to move BB to a american company and with people who has more knowlegde of american football. Then if they do it would help BB2 out big time. But I really believe with the right groups working on BB2. It could really take off next time around. But it's going to take alot of work. It's going to take alot. BB is decent game this time around. But it's going to take alot more then what it is now to be very good game for the future. Starting by giving fans more Camera options instead of the one that is currently in the game. Also they need to expand their playbooks big time and give teams different playbooks at that aswell. BB2 needs big improvements from BB.Don't get me wrong BB is a very decent football game. But still needs alot work to be done to it to make it much better then it is now.

That has a 70/40 chance...maybe 60/60....

I hope so. I'm enjoying this one and with some more features and a better replay system I would be playing almost non-stop.

Things change. Other games were confirmed for their next sequel but didn't happen.........

I voted no just because I think the Madden devs will try to push for a similar engine, therefore killing any mojo this game has.

Not trying to start a , just my 2 cents

PS- I bought BB for my 360

So, if Natural Motion says BB 2 is in "early development", that puts us in line for, what, a 2013 Holiday release?

# 18 Reaman @ 06/09/10 05:59 PM
Unsure.

Uhh, STILL no BB demo on the PSN. Can't rent through Blockbuster because they are NOT stocking the game plus it is currently out of stock through their in-store "rental ordering" system.

At any rate, the overall reviews panned this game. That doesn't bode well for a sequel unless word of mouth by the BB hopefuls spreads enough to get the sales up. Then again, NM makes PLENTY of money off their middleware so who knows. The cult followers could just help it along.

I hope and think so. This game has a refreshing take on football, and it has a following that will only get bigger. They have a chance to snag the college Liscence too. If they have that to start off it will greatly improve sales. also they will use the engine for soccer as well bringing them more money. 505 did a real good job this time, and alot off people are not liking the camera angle. which is the only reason, but its real to me. YES
