Can't get enough football games, so it's a first day purchase for me.

Zero. Zip. Nada.

Competition will be a good thing for the genre, and I have to admire the effort of the Backbreaker team to provide a new approach to so many aspects of a football videogame. I don't expect this game to be very polished the first time out, but the prospects of using a true physics engine excite me enough to fully support this game.

I find that the games I have played the most have fewer "scripted" elements and more unpredictable outcomes. That appears to be the strong point of this title. Also, I have to admit I'm excited about playing split-screen with my son.

I'm like you Steve, unfortunately won't be able to resist although I fear that it's going to be a striped down first effort that shows future potential.

This is probably the case for me also, unfortunately.

The demo will be released on Xbox360 before the actual release so I'll be able to at least make an informed decision.

Nadda!!!!

No Franchise Mode!

For me it would have helped if they would have taken the Teams from the USFL (Michigan Panthers, Tampa Bay Bandits, Chicago Blitz, Washington Federals, Denver Gold etc. etc.) and used old stadiums (Pontiac Silverdome, King Dome, Hoosier Dome, RFK Stadium etc. etc.)

Then just give a bunch of generic names names to the players with colleges and I'm on board.

Then factor in Franchise mode.........That's where the bread is buttered!

Same here, and I should have learned better by now. I really need to wait for some reviews, but I know well enough that I won't have that willpower.

None actually. I love football, and love games that capture the sport - but at the end of the day, this game seems to be nothing more than a polished tech demo showing off the Euphoria engine.

Interested, most definitely but I will wait for a demo. Something about the game still screams Blitz to me and I hated that game....we will see though....Euphoria is definitely pretty cool however.

None.

I had a good enough time with Madden 10 last year to trust Madden 11.

NCAA 11 looks like it may finally be good, might have pick that up for the first time in a couple years.

Plus I'm playing The Show now, BB just doesn't fit in anywhere.

Zero...if they ever release BB 2, maybe.

this title is too late to the dance. ea has stepped up their game over the past year (madden 10, ncaa 11) so this game is done. plus it only comes out a month ahead of the much anticipated ncaa 11. at best this game is a rental. sell the euphoria engine to ea and walk way with a profit while you can

I want to play this game for the tech involved, but the more and more I see about the actual football, the lower my expectations are.

Not much considering that there are no injuries or fatigue in this game. I'm not sure if the game has a mode that screams "Buy Me".

Same here. Especially since it's new. Really looking forward to the engine and hoping the camera angle + controls don't ruin it for me.

Injuries and fatigue? That makes or breaks a football game? And I thought I was tough. heh

What a coincidence? EA actually stepped their game up just as BackBreaker is landing. It's funny that you're willing to accept that both the games are better even though 11 hasn't shipped. EA Sports hype train has failed to arrive at it's destination more times than not.

Very excited, I really hope this title becomes an franchise.
The best football games was when 2k and EA were battling it out, hopefully BB will push EA and make a fun game in the process.
And if they ever come out with a BB2, well thats going to be a really really good game.

I'm somewhere between rental and mildly interested, with so many details still not announced or mentioned yet. The demo could be all I end up needing to play to get over the curiosity of playing it when it releases.

In my case, they'd have been better off delaying the demo a couple weeks, I'm not a teenager making $6/hr anymore, I'd probably just buy it.

I will buy it day one since I have been posting on there since day one basically. I just hope it's good.
