Might not be a big deal to some of you, but I thought it was pretty cool.

"Discussing EA Sports Active, which recently saw Electronic Arts' best launch to date on Wii with 600,000 units, Moore tells Gamasutra that "We're not going to Kotaku or Operation Sports on this one, we're going to Amazon."

I think this just speaks to the ever-increasing presence OS has in the gaming industry. Kudos!

The mere mention is enough to garner some sort of respect I would say. OS must be recognized as very respected site for gamers and gaming alike. Our opinions count and dare I say - OS has had a hand in shaping some of the best sports titles on the market right now.... Props!

I'm unable to accept a compliment, so that is how I react -- I just backhand the site I work for.

Guess I'm just reading into it wrong then. Seems to me he's saying, "Well, for the real hardcore sports gaming material, OS is the spot, but for this sort of thing, we'd rather go to Amazon."

I will not tolerate insolence. Meet me in the alley in 5 minutes, we're throwing down.

Ha, I'm not trying to say he thinks we suck, just that when it comes to EA Active we don't matter. It's just funny that the mention comes not to highlight OS but to downplay it.

# 12 ChaseB @ 06/10/09 06:30 PM
PS, not that he would be wrong to assume OS doesn't matter when it comes to EA Active, though, I do think some people on here will/do mess with it.

Actually he's right. Around here we don't care much about the Wii. We're hardcore gamers. Mostly current-gen with a few PS2's and XBox's still in the mix.

OS is for serious sports gamers. I bought the Wii for my little girl.

My Wii just got a lot more time after Grand Slam and Tiger released today.

I still want to play EA Active, just don't want to spend the money.

Its cool that he is familiar with the site enough to mention it. But how is there a comparison between OS and Amazon? I guess people go there to read user reviews so I just answered my own question lol.

That's exactly how I interpreted his comment.
