I get why they want their piece of the pre owned pie but so far I've heard nothing suggested that doesn't lack a sort of grace.

What about it? ESPN signed a contract to incorporate their material in the EA Sports lineup of games. Nothing more nothing less. The contract did not stipulate that games would have ESPN like presentation.

Its just something I would like to know about. If the Answer was simply that EA wanted to further the EA brand then fine. Its not knowing that sucks.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is...they've had the EA Sports brand for a while and don't want to lose that. Plus part of it was probably ease of getting the ESPN commentators and whatnot, make sure they kept Herbie, Corso, etc.

I hear you. I think that when we saw what was done with ESPN Videogames we just expected to see EA go the same route. Their intention was obviously to expand the brand and try and make profit.
