FirstCuts have posted an interview with the President of EA Sports, Peter Moore.

Quote:
FC: "Baseball season is right around the corner and people still talk about MVP Baseball 2005, so how eagerly are you counting down until 2012 when that exclusive MLB deal expires?"

PM: "Iím not sure itíll be an exclusive license next time around, let me say that. Thereís a strange situation in baseball where youíve got Sony with its first-party exclusive and Take Two and 2K with their third-party exclusives. They have their licenses and we respect that. Iíve said many times weíve made a big impact in the past in baseball, and I hope we can do the same again when thereís an opportunity and MLB is ready to discuss the future."

That is debatable. I think they are dead even.

I wish there were no licenses and there could be 3 or 4 games at a time

Raidersbball, I couldn't agree more! Competition breeds excellence, plain and simple.

You can't be serious. Madden isn't perfect but at least it is playable with sharp visuals. MLB 2K is a disaster.

LOL, when was the last time Madden got a 4.5 review from a major site? Even this very site gave MLB 2k9 a 6.5. And you want 2k to have another year? Madden may be lazy, but at least it is a passable to decent game each year. People hailed 2k as being better than EA because their exclusive license wasn't entirely exclusive, but I bet 2k wishes it was now. Their product not only looks bad compared to The Show, but when people just judge it by itself.

I doubt it.
...or maybe EA even paid off gamespot for that 4.5 MLB2k9 review.
