Peter Moore checks in with another update on his official blog. This week he hosts a small Q&A session on Madden 09 and NCAA Football 09, among a few other things. 60 FPS and no towels...

"Both the PS3 and X360 versions of Madden will run at a smooth 60FPS. Even better, while trying to squeeze performance out of each console weve managed to significantly improve the visuals of the game this year."

Those questions had to have been from 6 months ago. Agree totally useless like the game itself after the honeymoon period. Peace.

It kills me that they still can't get towels in the game. Or refs. Ultimately it's the gameplay that matters most, but as the article on the front page today says, attention to detail does go a long way. EA pays great attention to some things, but totally drops the ball in other areas.

I really don't understand why he bothered with that blog post. It was totally useless. I guess it's nice that he makes somewhat of an effort, but that was pathetically lacking.

I just looked at a youtube video of nfl fever 2002..The makers of NFL Fever were able to use the specs of original Xbox to put towels on their player models 6 years ago...How come the makers of Madden and NCAA football still haven't figured out how to put towels and other realistic additions on their player models?

Dale Jackson: Madden 09 features extremely realistic player models. The models this year have been completely rebuilt, and along with the upgraded visuals, provide the most realistic looking sports game ever. We dont have towels this year but will make sure this gets some serious consideration for future iterations.
wow.. now if that's not a great example of side-stepping the question and not answering the question at all i don't know what is

That is all it was, a bullet point to say they addressed the community. None of this surprises me as they keep saying this and that will be in next year, yet we are 4 years in and still not on par with the last gen features. I keep some hope that leadership changes will help to change this game in some form, but it is becoming obvious that is not going to happen. $
