GameShark has posted their top 10 baseball games. Agree or disagree?

"When formulating any ĎTop Tení list, itís important to set the parameters. When youíre talking about PC and videogames this is particularly important. Unlike music, movies, books, and even other forms of gaming, boardgaming for example, time can be exceedingly cruel on electronic entertainment. As technology advances, many of the games of yesteryear look increasingly shallow, ugly, and even comical. This is true with baseball games, as well. Time isnít always kind."

They said a very good case could be made for The Show being number 1 which would be my number 1.

In case you don't have time to read everything here's their list:

1. High Heat Baseball 2001-2002 PC - 3DO
2. Out of the Park Baseball - Out of the Park Developments
3. MLB 08: The Show - Sony Computer Entertainment America
4. Earl Weaver Baseball - Electronic Arts
5. MLB Power Pros - 2K Sports
6. ESPN Major League Baseball - Sega
7. RBI Baseball - Tengen
8. Micro League Baseball - Micro League Sports Association
9. Front Page Sports Baseball - Sierra
10. Hardball! - Accolade
Special Honorable Mention - MVP Baseball 05 PC

It's a pretty good list. I would've included Tony LaRussa 3 and Baseball Stars, though I'm not sure which I would exclude since I haven't played them all.

I'm glad power pros made the list. I guess I shouldn't be shocked anymore, but it's still nice to see a game like that get good press. If only it led to a lot more sales so we see a new version.

I agree with the top three...maybe not in that order...but I'm sure as stated....1 and 3 are basically interchangeable.
I'm glad to see that FPS Baseball made the list. I would have dropped Power Pros.....put FPS Baseball in that slot....and moved MVP to 10 and Hardball to 9.

Micro League is another one....I spent a LOT of time with that game also.

OOTP should get a little more respect. VERY surprised that it got acknowledged at #2 despite "no" graphics.

I really liked the first two Bases Loaded games in the series. I think that was Konami, but don't quote me.

I had RBI and played it to the death. I even bought the versions after the original.

I would have thought Baseball Stars might have been on the list. I guess the old ones are too outdone by all the new technology.

I dont think the Show 08 is even in the top 10.. The AI is absurd to be generous about it. Since when is the first basemen the cutoff man for the LF and CF? That happens all too often. I like RTTS ( even with the AI problems ) but the franchise game is lacking severely in gameplay.

Good game? Sure ....But not #3.

To be honest 2K8 would be the better game if not for the FPS problem ( even though there are simple work arounds that help tremendously ).

How did World Series baseball (for the Genesis) not make this list?!

Not to mention I've never seen a baseball team that doesn't have the 1B take the cut home from LCF and rightwards.

Remeber kids, Earl Weaver Baseball did everything right back in the 80's.

Ken Griffey Jr. > *. I would love if they came out with the SNES Griffey on Virtual Console with updated rosters.

Yes. I play an unmodded Xbox version and still love it to death without the mods and stuff. I still play it now.
