EA is the Borg, Take2 will be assimilated.

Take 2 should double cross EA and sell off rockstar and 2K to Activision.

Please no. For the sake of good games no.

lol, I love the holier than thou attitude. People have every right to buy what they want. Not every EA game is trash either.

If take two wasn't such a horribly managed company, this wouldn't have ever happened. They've been teetering towards a buyout for years now. They always had pretty good IP's and nice sales, yet can't pull themselves out of the gutter.

This is the greatest example a free capitalistic market. This is what our market is all about. The strong or innovative will survive and those that are mismanaged, for whatever reason, will disappear or be consumed. Kind of sounds like evolution, doesn't it? Do I like the results? Hell no, but you can't fight the nature of the market.

You can just as easily flip that statement around and say that the consumer can thank EA for being the bricklayers for the foundation that is sports gaming today.

Just sayin'.....

but either way, with this happening now, I doubt TT can even hold it off until GTA4 comes out.

Well, if it is going to happen, please happen. I can't stand this teetering purchase that is not finalized. Say YES or NO, not maybe!!!

All you did in that statement was tell us you do not understand economics nor evolutionary science. Please spare us from other topics you may not know anything about.

Well excuse me Mr Darwin and Alan Greenspan wrapped up into one mind. I had not prepared my economics and evolutionary science dissertations in time to publish on the forums. All I did was make a general statement which is applicable to economics and evolutionary science. But, let us not get off topic. This impending buyout is a no win deal for gamers but a good business move for EA, whether one agrees with their tactics or not.

EA's take-over of Take-Two is going to happen, it's just a matter of when...I've resigned myself to the fact that in the end, EA will take over everything and I will leave sports gaming forever. Just another big business deal involving EA - pretty soon this will basically be an EA forum, because there will be no other publishers making games...

Rumor reported that EA bought a GTA fan site for 3.4 mil. If that's true I guess we'll be reading about the 2K buyout soon.

A fansite posting an EA logo reeks of an early april fools joke. While EA will most likely own take two soon, I doubt they'd go out and buy a fansite first, then post an EA logo on it for everyone to see. That site will be getting tons of hits and free advertising out of this, given the popularity of GTA and the image of EA. Win win for an april fools joke.

If I'm wrong and EA did do it, it means they have huge balls to buy up the most popular GTA fan community online in such an arrogant way. Can't deny that either one is kind of funny.
