IGN has posted a UEFA Euro 2008 blog called "Wanted".

Quote:
"To achieve this we looked at what it was about the Euro finals and qualifying games that made them so dramatic. What we found was that a teamís tactics often set the tone for the match. Smaller nations often played defensively against the larger nations, getting men behind the ball, trying to stifle their superior opponents."

Good stuff, I like that the teams will change tactics depending on the situation. Hopefully they make smart changes, though. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

It was also good to hear about how they tweaked the gameplay. Looking forward to some video of the gameplay.

Same here.

I just hope the game doesn't play too fast and the shooting/passing isn't too perfect all the time. And I'm sure it won't happen, but I hope they fix the jerseys in the game. The font sizes for the numbers and lettering is always off and they shouldn't stretch out with the rest of the jersey.

One thing I know I already don't like about the game is the release date. Last I read, the U.S. won't be seeing this game until about a month after Europe has it.

I noticed the later release date as well. That sucks. Like what I hear, hopefully it turns out well.

You did my friend, you did....

"CPU AI, trapping and GK all saw improvements and of course the ball physics were adjusted for the new weather effects."

I have to admit that after reading that article, I may actually get excited about the game. It really sounds like they've further tweaked it since 08, and as long as they don't overdo things, especially the pace of the game, it sounds pretty good. Almost everything he said in fact sounds good, from shooting and passing being improved, to the skill moves being both more tailored to the skilled players, and being a bit easier to pull off. One of my main gripes about the skill moves in 08 is they are basically useless. Now if they would just incorporate the PES "leave ball" move.

Sucks we get it a month later. I wonder if it'll be region locked? If not, then an import might be in order.......

Ha ha I was thinking the same thing about importing, but I think 360 games are region locked. Maybe not all though? In loving soccer it will be tough to pass up, especially if they keep on improving like the dev member said. Seems like they have heard the complaints from FIFA 08.

Are PS3s region locked? I've been contemplating getting one.

It's up to the developer.

I can't help but read between the lines and think that it's going to play a lot like World Cup 06 did. And that game sucked.
