ESPN Videogames have posted their NFL week 6 simulation, using Madden NFL 08.
"Running back Tony Richardson's 3-yard touchdown catch from Tarvaris Jackson with 0:55 left in regulation lifted the Vikings to a 29-26 comeback victory over the Bears in an NFC North division showdown at Soldier Field. The game-winning touchdown capped a 17-play, 80-yard drive that consumed more than five minutes off the game clock. With the win, the Vikings improved to 2-3 on the season. The Bears, looking to chase down the division leading Packers, fell to the bottom of the division at 2-4."

Okay, I'll bite - How does ESPN manage to get games like that? Every one of those games look like it could happen on a Sunday, but yet those of us who have tried year in and year out to make the CPU games look like, well....that are always disappointed. It was the same thing last year - do they have some kind of magical Madden engine there in Bristol that actually puts out realistic results?

It'd be one thing if they were just simulating the games, but the detailed writeups tell me that they're actually watching them play out.

Wait, I just realized something....there is no CPU vs. CPU in the PS3/XBOX Madden! Something's fishy here...
