Gamer has posted their impressions of Skate.
"The most important factor, of course, is the controls. Lucky for us, they’re buttery smooth, intuitive, and damn, if it isn’t fun to land a grind without pressing Y. Your skater will negotiate his board perfectly, leaning in and tweaking his feet at just the right times when he lands. The graphics are more than satisfying, with silky animations, a nice saturated tone, and a dropped-camera angle for maximum low budget video effect. The in-game footage editor isn’t anything complicated, but its tidy integration into the menu and online system is welcome. You can jog back footage from about a minute prior, change the camera angles, add filters like sepia, experimental, or ‘80s, and upload the final product onto EA’s site. While it’s nothing fancy, it’s a great new way to enjoy the game with friends on or off the console. Hopefully the community supports it, and people put up quality footage."
