Ugh, looks like our A/C is dead. Woke up this morning sweating my doodads off. I just know it's going to be an all out replacement and end up costing an arm and a leg, I just know it.

Played quite a bit of APF 2K8 last night in a league I'm in. I went 1-1 and played an out of league game w/ TC. I love the game, but can't wait for Madden! It's been a while since I've said that.

Nat beat me up in Wii Boxing, then we won a few games in Wii Tennis. She's getting better in the Wii Golf and beat me in Bowling. I was actually TRYING to beat her too! LOL.

What's up with you?

QOTD - 56 game hitting streak and Cy Young's 511 wins.

Took my wife's cousin's daughter to Dave and Buster's last night. She had a blast and came home with some good prizes. When we got home, my wife had bought "Shrinky Dinks" (remember those?) and we each did some drawings then "shrunk" them in the oven. I traced the Cavs logo and it came out pretty good.
Read the COD4 beta preview on IGN today. Can't wait for that to be released.
QOTD: 511 wins is pretty unbreakable considering not too many guys will ever get 300 again.

Man... screw the early adopters, Microsoft, eh?

I agree, Joe's 56 will NEVER be broken. I have a feeling about Cal Ripken's ironman streak as well.

I must be in the minority, but I think 56 will be broken. I agree w/ 511 though. The Wilt "100" probably won't be topped.

Shrinky Dinks! Man, I definitely remember those, had no idea they still sold them!

There's a chance that 56 could be broken, but it's extremely unlikely. I think Kobe could definitely make a run at 100. I think Wilt's 50 points per game average is more unbreakable.

Also, Bonds' record for largest hat size increase will never be broken.

Bad news about your A/C. Here in southern Illinois we are in the upper nineties daily with the heat index into the 100's. If our A/C went out we'd have to go to a hotel!

Hopefully it's a cheaper fix...

QOTD: Cal Ripken's "Iron Man" streak and 511 wins. I also think Wayne Gretzky's 92 goals in a season (1981/82) as well as Terry Sawchuck's 103 career shutouts.

Yeah, if my A/C died, I'd be screwed. It's so humid that you walk outside and start to sweat standing there.

That is how it is here!

Ugh, so it's dead, like won't work at all? Or froze up? How old is it?

About 5 years old. Dead, it won't turn on at all. I think it's the compressor, in which case, I'll probably go w/ a new unit.

It's like that around here as well. No surprise as we get the same weather...just a day later than you.

I went golfing with my dad after work on Monday and I was a mess by the end. Literally, my clothes were soaked from sweat. It was in the high 80's then, but the humidity was absurd. It's been many years since it's been this humid for this long of a time.

QOTD - I agree with EG. The 56 game hitting streak is one I don't think will be broken. With 5 man rotations, no one is going to break Cy Young's Win and Loss records.

Yeah, you're going to be paying some bucks.

QOTD: Wilts 100 points in a game, John Wooden's 88 Wins in a row, Cal's Streak, Cy Young 511.

# 14 rockchisler @ 08/08/07 01:34 PM
Cy Young 511 and Wilts 100

# 15 SportsAce @ 08/08/07 01:57 PM
Haven't seen it mentioned but I'm gonna go with Nolan Ryan's strikeout record......no way it gets broken.

QOTD: Cal Ripken's consecutive game streak won't ever get close to being touched.
