N-Europe has the scoop.
"Masanao Maeda, corporate director of Sega has strong hopes for the Sega-Nintendo project Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.
Maeda expects that Mario & Sonic will sell several million copies when it is released, and that "It surely has potential to be the No.1 title.". Mario & Sonic will be the first game that sees both Mario and Sonic competing against each other. Mario & Sonic will be up against games like Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto 4 and possibly one or two of Nintendo's big franchises."
