Game Informer has posted an interview with Brian Bright and Chad Findley, co-producers of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.
Game Informer: "This is the latest version of Tony Hawk, and it seems to be geared a little less away from the goofy stereotypes of skateboarding and more about core skate culture. What led to this apparent design change?"
Brian Bright: "We’ve kind of bounced back and forth. The original Tony Hawk’s Underground was very much geared toward the core aspects of skating. Even the first couple of Tony Hawks, 1 and 2—I think 3 and 4 may have gone a little crazy—but THUG kind of brought it back where it was the story of a kid on the rise up through the ranks. THUG 2 went a little overboard, like Jackass. This year we took a look at feedback from the fans and what our core user base wanted, and we tried to deliver that. Basically, it’s a THUG-like story, but more on steroids."
