NBA Live 08 Exclusive Screenshot

5WG has posted an exclusive screenshot from NBA Live 08.
"In it, Miami’s Dwayne Wade sizes up Orlando’s Hedo Turkoglu on the way to the hoop."

Madden NFL 08 Screenshots (PS3)

Gameinfowire and Tothegame have both posted some Madden NFL 08 screenshots.
"Coming into its 18th year and with more than 60 million copies sold and having generated over $2 billion in retail sales, Madden NFL Football continues to stand out as one of the most popular videogame franchises of all time. Developed in Orlando, FL by EA Tiburon, Madden NFL 08 will be available in August on the Xbox 360 and Xbox videogame and entertainment systems, PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment systems, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, PC, PSP (PlayStation Portable) handheld entertainment system."

Showtime Championship Boxing Fact Sheet (Wii)

Tothegame has posted the fact sheet for Showtime Championship Boxing.
"Lace up your gloves and make your way to the ring as Showtime Boxing is about to punch its way onto the Nintendo Wii. You will have to box your way through the ranks if you want to make it to the big time. Featuring all the style and presentation of a big Showtime event this promises to be a real knockout."

IGN Update (PS3, 360)

IGN has posted the following:
  • PGR 4: Through Rain, Sleet, or Snow (360)
"Bizarre Creations has always been under pressure with the previous three Project Gotham Racing titles. PGR 1 was an Xbox launch title, PGR 2 helped launch Xbox Live, and PGR 3 was a 360 launch title. For the first time, Bizarre has been given a little breathing room and the freedom to create the next PGR without being attached to a major console or feature launch. Free of launch concerns, Bizarre is tricking out PGR 4 with a dynamic weather system."
  • Motorstorm Expanded (PS3)
"When it was released in March, MotorStorm cut a huge muddy path of racing carnage across the PlayStation 3. Set in the off-road tracks of a large desert festival in Monument Valley, players had access to seven vehicle types, ranging from big rigs to dirt bikes. With the only rules of the competition being that there are no rules, racers could bump and crash their way to the finish line. However, one of the largest complaints lodged against the game was the limited number of tracks that players could fly through as they tried to collect the event tickets during the game."
  • MotorStorm - New Tracks and Trucks Movie Clip (PS3)

Madden 08 Not Using Friend Codes? (Wii)

Wiifanboy has the story.
"We already heard about how big online gaming would be for the Wii in 2008, but we didn't expect that EA, of all studios, would be fighting for us to have a better online experience on the Wii. Either that, or they're just too lazy and don't want to retool an interface and online package for their Wii version of Madden 08. Regardless of what it is, they've got the right idea: no friend codes. We don't want them, you don't want them, so why use them?"

Konami Classic Track & Field Coming To XBLA (360)

Get those speedy fingers ready, GamersReports has the scoop.
"An old school NES classic is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. According to reader Dr. Yosh, who set us these images, Track & Field, the NES button-masher, is set for release on the Xbox Live Arcade within the next month or two. This game certainly brings back a ton of good memories."

Fishing Master Hands On Impressions (Wii)

Joystiq has posted their hands on impressions of Fishing Master.
"I grew up fishing and still sometimes make it out on to a lake, river, or ocean to try to hook a meal. I attended Camp Fish. I know how to cut a herring so that it rolls in tune with a salmon's appetite. And I've been waiting for a good Wii fishing simulation, an obvious game idea, given the rod-like Remote. Fishing Master is not that simulation."

Skate Screenshots (PS3, 360)

WorthPlaying has posted some Skate screenshots.
"Our game offers a skate mecca for both skaters and gamers in search of the definitive authentic skating video game experience,” said Scott Blackwood, executive producer, EA Black Box. “We’re focused on capturing the actual feeling of skating with the innovative control system, the physics driven animations, the intelligent cameras working together to really deliver the closest thing to being on a board."

Other Stuff...

Congrats to the Spurs, sweeping their way to another NBA championship disposing the Cavs late last night. I so hate the Spurs.

Make sure you check out our All Pro Football Forums later today. We've sent a couple of guys off to a Washington, D.C. event where they will have time with the game and post their impressions. They'll also have a chance at playing The BIGS and post their impressions of that as well.

What's up with you?

What up?

QOTD - relaxing and we host a cookout every year at my house. So we'll be eating some BBQ chicken, and playing cornhole in the back yard. Looking forward to it. I laid down new mulch to the front of the house making it look really nice the last 2 nights, I should be a landscaper!

Did you say CORNHOLE? I don't even think I want to know what that means.

Oh well. It was a great run by the Cavs. Just disappointing the way they went out in the Finals. I think LeBron used up everything he had in Game 5 against the Pistons and nobody else could pick up the slack (except Boobie in Game 6). The Cleveland sports fan's motto-Wait til next year.

QOTD: Working around the house and visiting my parents on Sunday. Wife's out of town so I might rent a game for my ol' Xbox. Thinking of trying out Black. I've heard it's a good rental, but not worth buying.

QOTD... well, my bro's wedding is today.. it appears to be turning into a fiasco.. loooong story for another day.. tomorrow I will try to attend a BBQ my parents are having (I was originally told it was a BRUNCH, so I went & bought tickets to the O & A show tomorrow night- just yesterday I was told now the gathering started at 2 pm... )..

QOTD: Father's Day should be pretty quiet. The wife is working a 12, so it should be just me and the girls chillin'.

I'm sure I'll be crashin' still from Saturday - My first official competitive 5K. I don't think I'll mind the Lazy Sunday after that.

My buddy introduced me to this at a Giants game last year. I was skeptical at first but it's fantastic for tailgating.

Congrats to Dice on the graduation and Nyisles on your bros wedding.

QOTD: Finally taking the cover off the pool this evening. Glad I waited as it was cloudy and cool this past week. This weekend its finally supposed to heat up. Sunday, we'll visit my Dad.

# 14 funky_chicken @ 06/15/07 10:02 AM
QOTD - I may have to work a few hours. When I get home my dad is fixing a father's day dinner of Cuban style roasted pork, white rice, black beans and tostones which are platanos which are fried and topped with fresh minced garlic. I already gave my dad his father's day present which was a humidor for his cigars.

QOTD - Me and my son, are going to spend the full weekend together.

Hopefully catch up on some 360 games, get my achievement score higher...looking to get to 21000 before August.

(boo to the spurs winning, who cares....tired of seeing them win. Too bad the Cavs are just hype and suckers. I like how S.I.com and Foxsports reports that the NBA Finals were a record low in ratings. No one cared to watch the games.)
