Cockpit View Confirmed For Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)

PSX Extreme has the scoop.
"According to a special episode of Jeuxvideo.TV, it appears there will be a cockpit view in the game. This is an all-new option for the series, and would probably replace the previous choice of simulation fans, which was the in-car view that didn't show anything in the car. The video clearly shows a cockpit view from a Mercedes 300 SL, and Kazunori of Polyphony Digital verbally confirmed the use of this camera view in the game."

Forza Motorsport 2 - Weekly Pitpass Report (360)

The official Forza Motorsport 2 website has posted their Weekly Pitpass Report. Screenshots and movie clips included.
"Welcome back to the Turn 10 Pitpass Report, your weekly fix from Turn 10 covering the world of Forza Motorsport 2. We are now officially less than two weeks away from the retail release of the game and -- just think about this -- by the time we hit WPR #50, all of you will have had in your hands a copy of the game for days. You will have stayed up for nights playing the stuffings out of career mode and qualified for your first tournaments -- maybe even sold or bid on your first cars in the auction house. Two weeks from today, you'll have snapped photos of your car collection on and off the track, posted them onto our (no wait, they're just as equally your) forums, all of this using Forzamotorsport.net as your hub of Forza 2 activity. You will have bags under your eyes and maybe missed a day or two of work. But it'll be good. And you'll look back on the past six months of agonizing waits and rumor mongering with a kind of fondness you certainly don't feel like you could muster up now as you read these words. But mark my words, it will happen. And we can't wait for the curtains to lift and this calm before the storm to pass."

Hot Shot Tennis and High Velocity Bowling Impressions (PS2, PS3)

Kotaku has posted impressions from the following games:
  • Hot Shot Tennis (PS2)
"I've long been a fan of the Hot Shots Golf franchise, so it's no surprise that I kind of dug the Tennis version of the game. The game supports up to four players and while it has that Hot Shots aesthetic, don't let that fool you into thinking it's not a robust tennis game."
  • High Velocity Bowling (PS3)
"To play the game you hold the Sixaxis by the center bit, the place where the start and select buttons are. First you set the left/right of where you want to bowl, then you select the angle, if you'd rather not be bowling straight at the pins. Finally, you swing your arm down and back and then forward as if really bowling."

The BIGS Screenshots (Multi)

Fragland has posted some screenshots of The BIGS.
"In The BIGS they want to focus on the matches that matter, and they want to work with those as good as possible. This means a lot of details in the characters (visuals, features, ...), the stadiums and the whole atmosphere around it."

Every part of my body is sore, well...almost every part. I mulched the entire weekend and feel pain in just about every muscle of my body. I'm so happy it's done though, the yearly routine is not a fun time.

Barely had any time w/ MLB 07 The Show over the weekend. I was up a little late Saturday playing, made it to Triple AAA after about 15 more games. Unfortunately, I'm so used to the autosave feature on most games, I didn't even think about it. I just shut the PS3 off and went to bed w/o saving. Ugh.

What's up with you?

What up!

QOTD - Good weekend, didn't do much, went to a few minor league baseball games. Rest of it relaxed, and played The Show and Halo 3 Beta. The Show is still amazing, and easily one of the best baseball games I've ever played.

BTW, I might start embedding movie clips from various sites, when doing the news. Let me know how you guys like it.

Like it...a lot.

QOTD: Pretty good weekend. Played two softball games (hit a home run ). Played a lot of RTTS on MLB the Show, what a great game mode. My SS is turning the corner and finally has his batting average up around .400. Finally hit my first HR too. Played some Halo 3 with some douches (read: TJ and EG)

Weekend got off to a great start when the Cavs beat the Nets on Friday. Not too much else exciting happened as I pulled plenty of weeds from the backyard (isn't yard work is so much better when you're listening to a baseball game on the radio?).
Saw Spiderman 3 last night. I thought it was as good as the first two (and did a much better job with multiple villans than the Batman movies).
Steve, my annual mulching will take place next weekend (not looking forward to that), but at least it's a 3 day weekend.

I'm a big fan too. Keep it up!

QOTD:

Saturday morning, I had to work from 6am til noon, so my weekend didn't start until then. Didn't do much all day Saturday. Sunday afternoon, it was such a nice day out that the wife and I took a little drive up to the mountains nearby. It was too gorgeous of a day to waste it indoors. Later in the day, I played some Halo 3 with some douches (read: RockyTop and EG), then watched Sopranos and Entourage. I'm going to miss Sopranos...only 2 more episodes left.

QOTD:

Last hockey game of the season Friday night. Won 6-1 to lock up the 3rd spot heading into the playoffs. Round 1 Wednesday night against the team we just beat 6-1, so looking good, although they were missing their ringer, so we'll see.
The rest of the weekend I pretty much played RTTS on The Show non-stop. I'm addicted. I keep saying to myself "Just one more game, I've gotta see if I get called up" and 3 hours later, I'm still going! After spring training, hit .415 in AA in the first month, and got called up to AAA. Hit around .350 for May and got called up to the Show. Went 1 for 3 in my first game, then pinch ran twice before getting sent back down. Got called up again in July for a week and half, but didn't get in a game before getting sent back down. Hit .315 with 1 HR 26 RBI 33 SB in AAA for the year. Started 2008 by signing a 5 year contract and am in AAA right now. Mid June, hitting .335 with 3 HR 23 RBI 20 SB, so hoping for a callup soon.

QOTD: My weekend was long. Friday night I had soccer, our team won 8-4 and I scored a goal. My sister came home Friday night because we were going to a memorial service for my uncle who passed away on Wednesday. I only got like 5 hours of sleep Friday, and then I didn't get to be until 2 am Sunday morning, so I did nothing yesterday, I just watched sports and Entourage.

QOTD: My weekend was just great! Got a lot of gaming in as I was recuperating from my gum grafts, though I was extremely tired from the Vicodin (trying to go without pain killers today). I'm also famished from the all liquid diet! Thursday can't come fast enough, and I'm hoping that when the stitches come out that day that I can eat again...though it's not likely.

I am struggling today. I got last minute tickets to the Yankees-Mets game last night. I didn't get home until 2:30 AM and the alarm goes off at 4:50. Game was a great time...went with my brother and sat around some good Met fans who didn't rag on us too much being the only Yankee fans in the section.

Other than that, I got a little time with the Show...it plays a great game of baseball. I got through ST in the RTTS and got sent to AAA which was good. I hope to stay awake long enough tonight to get some more time with it after Yanks/Sox.

QOTD: My weekend pretty much sucked, nothing really exciting to note. I would say the highlight of my weekend was drinking two 24oz beers in the parking lot of a gas station in about 70 seconds.

QOTD:

My weekend was really relaxing. Got caught up on Heroes which is a great show, and got some time to play some MLB 2k7. If the Show wouldn't cost me over $600 to play, I'd get that but no-such-luck there.

Hopefully this week, when my friends all get home from college, will be a lot better. Got a job "interview" in about a half an hour so I'm hoping to start off the week on a good foot.

My weekend was pretty much just sitting around playing my newley purchased 360 which was well worth the money I spent on it.

QOTD: The weekend was good. Saturday I made it to the gym. Saturday night played some GRAW2. Great weather here early Sunday afternoon for my daughter's soccer game. Later on it rained, which was fine because we went to see Shrek 3. It was better than I expected after reading the reviews.

My weekend was exhausting... stayed up pretty late on Friday night, then went to my girlfriend's Junior Prom, then After-Prom... then fell asleep in her bed and we both woke up at 2:30 PM... then I had to run to Wal-Mart and get presents for my mom and aunt (twins) who had a pre-birthday birthday celebration (their actual b-day is tomorrow).

hey, I survived sitting with the "Bleacher Creatures" for a Met/Yank game... gotta say, other than just a little ribbing, very nice folks in that section...

QOTD- as with all other weekends, I worked.. busy times for me, as next month my brother gets married, & the following month I am proposing to my g/f (already bought the ring, but wanted to wait till after my bro's wedding -not stepping on toes, etc)..

# 16 The GIGGAS @ 05/21/07 03:49 PM
Man, the Bleacher Creatures were fun to sit with when I went to a Yankees game. In something that doesn't need to be said... I was a Yankees fan that day.
