News Post

DarkZero has the scoop.
"Unfortunately other than playing a video of the old game and showing a logo of the new game no other information was released other that the game us set for release in 2008 and it will not be just a port. No platform was announced either with Mr. Inaga just saying "I can't tell you what platform we're making it for. But I can tell you that it's probably not going to be on the platform that you're expecting... if that makes any sense."
Let the speculation begin baby!

Actually my first guess was Wii ,, but Im going to say PS2. (I will hope for PC though, fully customizable - dont know why other companies dont jump on this - next one in gets 50% pc football marketshare, duh)

Hopefully there will be more information released on this game soon so we can start to put the pieces together.

I've wanted this game on XBLA for a long time. RBI baseball would be nice too!

I would say DS or PSP...

I'm guessing they're going with PS3 and not the 360......

Why bring it back? The allure of Tecmo Bowl was that it was impressive in its simplicity and it's ability to fill a niche in an earlier time. To bring it back seems silly, and I suspect a new will instead mar an otherwise classic series.

From a gamer standpoint, it's cool, but I don't see where there is room for this game between Madden, Blitz, and now 2K's product. Classics should stay classics in my mind. There are lots of creative minds in gaming and I'd think there would be plenty of good new ideas for games instead of cashing in on franchises that were previously resting quite soundly.

surprised it took this long to cash in on nostalgia.

To me I think that this sould be a hand held game if they are going to make it anything like what it used to be. I would love to have a fun updated portable football game on my PSP that a complete game could be played in 10 minutes. I would play it all the time.
