Forza Motorsport 2: One Minute For Your Ear's Pleasure (360)

Xboxyde has posted an audio clip from Forza Motorsport 2.
"As a change from the images, and since we are still not allowed to do any videos, I'm putting online this one minute long audio file of a Porsche 962 on the Nürburgring. It's encoded in Dolby Surround, so make sure you listen to this on your 5.1 audio system if you have one."

Mario Strikers Charged Screenshots and Details (Wii)

Gameinfowire has posted some screenshots and details from Mario Strikers Charged.
"Mario Strikers: Charged Football is different from the average football game and is even more exciting and engaging than ever before, with a strong emphasis on each team’s captain. These star players each have unique abilities and enhanced skills, which allow them to really influence the outcome of a game. The team captains all feature a Super Ability which can be used to devastate their opponents, ranging from Mario growing to giant proportions and trampling other players, to Peach taking a photo and freezing the entire opposing team on the spot."

Other Stuff...

I grabbed the new Xbox Live update this morning, before heading off to work. Didn't really play around with it, but I got it.

Pretty funny to see all those bandaided up noses last night at the Suns game, as they dominated the Spurs.

What's up with you?

I got the update as well, it's pretty cool. I like the messenger being included, then I realized that I always have my laptop next to me. We'll see if that catches on. I didn't get any achievements to see the new box popping up, so I'll check that out later.

To set the downloads to continue when you power down, you go to the settings tab and click on shutdown I believe. It sounds from the description there though, that the system stays powered on with full power, then turns off, I was lead to believe it would be in a low power mode like when it charges a controller and turns off. I didn't try it, so who knows.

QOTD - Hmm, that's a tough one. The sports games I probably gave the most time to were NCAA 2004, one of the NCAA games for the PS1, don't remember which one. Um, Baseball Stars for the NES, Super Tecmo Bowl for the NES, some NCAA basketball game for the Super NES. Lakers vs. Celtics for the Genesis. Hardball for the PC. I think that about covers my favorite sports games of all time.

QOTD:

For me, it's no contest. Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES was by far, my most played sports video game ever. For the first time, we were able to track stats throughout the course of a season, play through the playoffs, and hopefully win a Super Bowl. The cut scenes were unmatched at the time, and DAMN my Bills were STACKED back then!

I remember playing through seasons with the Patriots (I shudder to think about that now) just for an added challenge. Man, what a good time me and my friends had with that game!

Exactly, that game was soooo good. I remember doing a season with the Oilers, and got all 4 WR's to have 1000 yard seasons. I think I ran the ball 2 times all year. Moon had like 6800yds passing and 62 TD's. Game was soooo much fun. I'd give anything for it to hit the Wii's virtual console, even with just numbers for the players. I'd probably become a hermit.

Ridin' high after the Cavs took Game 2. The Nets better learn to box out or they are going to be in big trouble.

QOTD: TSB has to be #1. My favorite moment was winning my floor's Super Bowl my freshman year of college behind good ol' "QB Eagles". Lakers v. Celts, Tony LaRussa 96 and the NHL series of '92 through '96 are definitely up there too.

QOTD: NBA 2K series, starting with 2K5.

QOTD: NCAA March Madness 2003. It's the most fun I have ever had playing a basketball game.

LOL, just the original Tecmo Bowl is. Still great, but not as good as Super Tecmo Bowl.

Those nose stickers were just a little too funny.

NBA 2K on Dreamcast because it made me realize the potential of games seriously on the sports front. Freaking blew my mind. Also, NFL 2K.

QOTD: To echo, I also REALLY liked 'Tecmo Super Bowl'. I also really liked 'NFL Gameday 98', which I believe was the first that went 3D (not a "great" game, but fun with the new graphics).

Favorite all time sports game play? The WR Reverse in 'John Elway's Quarterback' on NES...where the receiver would go supersonic and run all over the place

QOTD:

I always liked the NCAA football series. Yeah .. this wrong, that wrong but .. when you talk about "franchise" kinda games, it pretty much is designed, by nature, to be the ultimate franchise game. It got me through a divorce without blowing my brains out.

QOTD: Joe Montana Sports Talk Football and NHL 94.

# 13 Cod @ 05/09/07 02:44 PM
QOTD: The original NBA JAM at the arcade followed by NBA JAM: TE

# 14 bullcats @ 05/09/07 03:38 PM
QOTD: NCAA 2004 or Tecmo SuperBowl and I'll go ahead and throw in NBA Jam.
