Eurogamer Update (Multi)

Eurogamer has posted the following:
  • Forza Motorsport 2 Interview (360)
Eurogamer: "But how do you make sure that the more hardcore racing fans don't feel like they have to plod through the early part of the game just to reach the decent cars?"
Dan Greenawalt: "Well that's the problem with tutorials, and that's actually the reason we don't have tutorials. Tutorials are like teaching a fish how to swim. You just don't need to do it. In our game, turning off all the assists gives you more money, which allows you to go through the career faster. It actually levels you faster."
  • Test Drive 2 in 2008? (Multi)
"Atari was unable to confirm or deny rumours this morning that Test Drive Unlimited 2 is in development and due for release in 2008. It was speaking in the aftermath of Polish website GRY-OnLine.pl revealing the game, claiming to have received the 100 per cent reliable information from an anonymous source."

Forza Motorsport 2 Movie Clips (360)

Fragland has posted two Forza Motorsport 2 movie clips.
"All those who’ve been following the news here and there probably know who Sarko is, but you'll also know Forza Motorsport 2 is almost ready for release. You can expect the game to be on shelves somewhere near the beginning of June. Let's hope they can make the game is as good as was promised because expectations are high!"

NBA Live 08 Preview (PS3)

PSX Extreme has posted their preview of NBA Live 08.
"You may recall our request to not put such a large focus on the analog sticks, and at the very least, we know context-sensitive controls are preferable (to us, at least). Yes, we said context-sensitive, so your shot will depend entirely on the situation. Players will respond to pressure defenses when driving the lane, and certain players won’t ever have the option to dunk the ball in traffic (small guards like Steve Nash, for example). So while you’re maneuvering for the shot, remember to keep your player’s strengths and weaknesses in mind; EA is featuring more than 60 signature jump shots in the game, and every shot should appear more realistic than ever. Those players who have more touch on the ball will have a higher arc, but the arc will never be as ridiculous as it was in previous installments. All of this comes together to provide a promising foundation, does it not?"

Forza Motorsport 2 Screenshots (360)

Xboxyde checks in again with a ton of Forza Motorsport 2 screenshots.
"New night, new Forza 2 Xbox Live session this time with the very brutish Sebull and the ever awesome (haha, right) Mirik of Xboxworld.nl. As you can see it was more like playing bumper cars than proper racing, but it still was a lot of fun."

Forza Motorsport 2 'Big Screen Challenge'

Xbox.com has the scoop.
"Get your game on and experience HD gaming at its best with a 30 foot screen. Play the Forza Motorsport 2 Big Screen Challenge to score amazing prizes and watch the horror flick Disturbia for free. The First 300 registrants for this amazing event will receive free entry to the tournament, free regular coke, free regular popcorn, and a free ticket to Disturbia and free gift bag (worth $30)."

Other Stuff...

Other than watching the Pistons manhandle the Bulls last night, I didn't do a whole lot. Nat is totally into finding bugs, worms, whatever and putting them in a jar. She's noticed the things she picks up are dead the next day, but it bothers her NONE. Too funny really.

What's up with you?
  • QOTD: Anyone looking forward to Forza Motorsport 2?

QOTD: Yes! Although I'm not a big racing or racing game fan, racing on xbox live is a blast and just about everyone on my friends list is picking this game up.

QOTD: I'm pretty excited. Didn't play much of the first Forza, but having a real next gen racing experience has made me geeked on Forza 2 (at least until GT5 comes out). Hopefully the XBL races will be diverse and the same cars won't be used again and again ala PGR.

QOTD - Yes! Only racing game that really sucked me in was Forza. I hate the Gran Turismo's of the world, but loved doing my career online with Forza. So part 2 will continue that addiciton.
