Race Driver One Announced (Multi)

Boomtown has the scoop.
"Combining our racing heritage with the Neon engine, Race Driver One will create a world that goes far beyond the traditional boundaries of motorsport gaming, taking players from the most prestigious race circuits to road and street events around the globe. A completely fresh career structure will engage players in an unprecedented range of racing styles as they build a team capable of becoming number one. The Neon engine will be expanded to deliver a new level of visual detail, physics and an astonishing car damage system."

Eurogamer Update (360, PC)

Eurogamer has posted the following:
  • Final Forza Motorsport 2 Car List (360)
"Microsoft has revealed the final section of the monstrous list of cars that make up Forza Motorsport 2. The final list is included below, but you can check out the entire listing - 310-strong - over on the game's official website. Each will be fully customisable, too. Forza Motorsport 2 is due out next month, with a demo expected on Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future, as Microsoft aims to replicate the critical success of the first game."
  • SI Unveils Football Manager MMO (PC)
"Sports Interactive has revealed that it's working on a Football Manager MMO for PC and Mac. It's due to be released in March 2008, and a beta test is planned to begin next month. N-Europe has some details about the upcoming Pangya Golf.

Eleven courses are contained in the fully Wii-mote controlled game. As well as traditional golfing elements to consider like hitting the fairway, staying out of the bunkers and paying attention to the wind speed Pangya! Golf With Style also adds a touch of fantasy and itís own rules to the mix."

Colin McRae: DIRT and Forza Motorsport 2 Screenshots (360, PS3)

Check them out at the following sites:

Colin McRae: DIRT Movie Clip (Multi)

Voodoo Extreme has posted a movie clip from Colin McRae: DIRT.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage Interview (Multi)

FiringSquad has posted an interview with Bugbear's business development director, Jussi Laakkonen, as they talk about FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage.
FiringSquad: "The game's physics engine has always been a highlight. Will the Xbox 360 add new interactivity and physics effects to the new game?"
Jussi: "To achieve the level of action we wanted, the key goal was to really push thousands more dynamic objects on each track. The player will now be able to mow through all kinds of barriers like an unstoppable wrecking ball. Plummeting into a tyre wall of hundreds of tyres and each one of them reacting individually to your actions is just plain awesome. It's like you created a fountain that's spewing tyres in the air. I never get tired of watching it!"

Other Stuff...

Back to back wins for me and Dan in our NBA 2K7 season, we came back from 11 down in the 4th, to beat the Lakers. The Lakers had their chance to win at the buzzer, but Kobe was denied the ball and Odom missed a jumper with a hand in his face.

What's up with you?

Steve,

Who the hell is Dan? Your imaginary friend?

QOTD:

Strangely, I'm excited about the NBA Playoffs beginning this weekend. I went to the Bobcats-Knicks season finale the other night, and that just got me jacked about watching the NBA Playoffs (despite the fact that neither of those 2 teams are in it). So...I guess I'll be watching that.

I think Dan is Steve's step-son. I could be wrong though.

I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend, my indoor soccer game might be cancelled today because it's raining right now.

Yup, Acid is correct. Dan is my stepson. We are co-op gaming fools.

Your indoor soccer game might be canceled because it's raining outside?

QOTD: If the weather stays nice, my wife and I will probably spend the weekend uprooting our sod and doing some landscaping. We want a little vegetable/herb garden, some front hedges, and if we have the money, plant a tree or two.

It's outside, but there are walls surrounding the field.

So it's basically like an outdoor hockey rink, with turf.

I don't get it. I always thought the purpose of indoor soccer was for when it was cold and crappy outside. If it's nice enough to play outside, why not just play regular soccer on a full sized field?

I love co-op sports games. Back in the day on family vacations, we'd take our gaming console with NCAA that year and play football pretty much the whole vacation. Sometimes we'd do a season with all three (me and my 2 brothers) all on the same team, but mostly we'd each pick a team in the same conference and go from there.

QOTD: Going to the Rangers/A's game tonight then I have a hockey game at 10:15 I'm going to play in, poker party tomorrow night, and rest and relaxation on the couch Sunday.

Work and studying for my Praxis II exam.

QOTD - doing yard work and the guy who's supplying our kitchen remodel is bringing out samples for us to view.

Well for me, it's better to play on turf since I'm allergic to grass. And, it's a 4v4 co-ed league, on a full sized field that would be very pointless, so we play on a small field.

Golf tourney this weekend. First time I've played since it has warmed up and I'm pumped.

LOL I've run out of avatar ideas. I realize my sports world sucks, so Oden and Conley Jr are all I got. I could put up a Joe Borowski one...wait, nevermind.

I'm scared to put a Cavavlier one up in fear that we'll be swept by the Wizards.

I've adopted a new avatar policy with myself. I'll stick with the A's avatar until football starts. Then, it'll switch to my Bills avy. I'll keep the Bills one up until their season ends, then go back to my Tar Heels one for college basketball season. Rinse, repeat.

Special exceptions may apply. Things like a random NCAA Tournament run for UNCW will result in my Seahawks avatar making a return. If the A's are in the postseason, I may keep that one up into football season. It just depends.

You should rock your Cavs avatar though, Scott. You're one of the only true Cavs fans around here. Most people who pull for them pull for them because of LeBron. You were around for the Shawn Kemp years...

Please, don't bring up the Kemp years... I had season tix his first year here, that was a fun season. The year's after, not so much.

I like to be proud of the Tyrone Hill years!

EDIT - changed it, rocking the Cavs avy
