Forza Motosport 2 Demo Details (360)

360Monster has posted some details about the upcoming Forza Motosport 2 demo.
"We've just received word from Microsoft about their upcoming Forza Motorsport 2 Demo that will be hitting our Marketplace very soon.

The demo will feature 24 playable race cars on one of the new circuits (no details on which one!). There will be 7 other competitors on the track against you, all controlled by the A.I."

Test Drive Unlimited Patch Coming (PC)

Atari has announced a Test Drive Unlimited patch will be released in May.
"Atari confirm that Eden are currently working on a patch for the PC version of Test Drive Unlimited which will be available in May."

SEGA Rally Preview (PS3, 360)

Eurogamer has posted their preview of SEGA Rally.
"The new Racing Studio has been formed by around 50 racing game veterans drawn from the likes of Codemasters, Rare, Criterion and Rockstar, which, to judge by the demo, provides a perfect balance. It's a perfect balance for creating a game that combines the sort of anally realistic physics that characterise all modern racing games, with the 'Hollywood realism' (as SEGA calls it) of the handling. The game's creators are emphatic that they don't want the next-gen obsession with realistic detail to overshadow the essence of the original SEGA Rally, so damage won't affect your handling, and you'll spend more time powersliding round corners than worrying about what gear you should be in."

Forza Motosport 2 - Weekly Pitpass Report (360)

The official Forza Motosport 2 website has posted their weekly pitpass report.
"So let's get the bad news out of the way first. What I'm about to say will inevitably piss off a bunch of you who have no doubt waited patiently all week for hi-res gameplay videos to go online. Sorry, there will be no video action this week. The 720p gameplay videos have been done for a while now, and were handed off to a press site (we're not at liberty to disclose which site got the exclusive) in hopes they could work it into their editorial calendar sometime this week. Alas, it didn't happen. We were told by our PR folks that the site will post their video next Monday. It's quite out of our control, but we feel bad about it all the same. The good news is that 1). it's literally right around the corner and 2). we actually made two videos."

Other Stuff...

So...Here is a dumb question. How do you 5-star in GH II? Do you have to be perfect or is there something I'm missing? I went through "Medium" over the weekend, so I've completed easy and medium. But I don't even want to attempt "Hard" until I 5 star everything I've already completed.

I have no idea what I did to my lower stomach area, but I was playing ball last night and I went to cut into the lane. Something pulled in my lower stomach area and I couldn't cut or really run, for that matter, after it happened. Anyone have a clue what I did? I've been trying to read about it on the internet and it's going from surgery of a stomach wall to a sports hernia. Oh the joy of getting old. If anyone knows, please let me know.

What's up with you?

You don't have to be perfect to get 5 starts, but you need to hit almost every note. When you get a perfect it gives 5 "gold" stars.

QOTD: Sliders are great, everybody has different skill levels and ideas of how a "sim" game should play. So slider let everyone change the game to how they think it should be played.

Sounds like a sports hernia possibly. I had one of those a few times I believe. Just have to sit and wait for it to heal itself or head to the doctor to see if it's really serious. Hope that you feel better though. After it heals, do some situps to strengthen the wall. Not immediately after, but a significant amount of time after when you're healed.

QOTD: I love using sliders when I feel a game needs to be tweaked a bit for difficulty or realistic reasons. I personally feel that they should only be in sports games, and not even all of them. I feel that only certain genres need them to completely grasp reaslism, while others shouldn't even consider it. Wouldn't want it in a FPS, RTS, or fighting game for real. Sliders do help a lot though when things are wrong with games. What I'm not feeling is the shipping of games being almost done. In that situation, sliders don't even help sometimes to counter the crap the game is going through.

The Forza 2 demo sounds awesome, no way I'm not buying that game.

QOTD:
Sliders can be awful if you obsess over it. I like to make a few changes the first few days I have the game and I just stick it out and play the freakin game.

The amount of stars is based off the score and the score alone.

Ahhhh, thanks!

BTW, what good is it to buy things from the GH II stores? I have money, but exactly what should I be buying? Makes no sense to me, lol. If there is something I can buy that will make my score go up, let me know. If it's just accessories for the "Look" I'm not worried about it.

I just buy the songs and the one outfit for the 80's hair metal guy, I made him look like Slash.

Sounds like it might be either a sports hernia, or if the pain is on your sides it could be a pulled oblique.

QOTD: I think sliders are great. It always seems that one difficulty level in sports games is to easy, but then the next level you go up to is impossibly hard, so it is nice to have sliders to be able to balance things out.

You can get achievements for buying stuff. None of it makes a difference in scores, though.

I think Hard would be a chore to 5 star for me. LOL!

QOTD: Sliders are really cool if their used to bring a needed challenge to your games. On the flipside, I think that some game companies use the sliders as their way of putting out a crappy game that only slider gurus can make the game play much better.
