The Unique Whips of Forza Motorsport 2 (360)

The official Forza Motorsport 2 website has posted their weekly Pitpass Report entitled, The Unique Whips of Forza Motorsport 2.
"Forza Motorsport 2 is coming down to the production wire. Internally, our clocks tell us we've got just a couple weeks left before we hand the game off to Xbox 360 certification folks who then hammer on it something fierce. After that, of course, the game gets packed into plastic cases, boxes, and into your sweaty little palms. There's been a lot of confusion over release dates out there in forum land, and all I can say officially is that Turn 10 does not set retail dates. That's what our marketing folks get paid to do. That said, the dev team is on schedule to hit our commitment to ship the game. How that plays out in the retail channel is out of our hands, but we certainly hope you guys get the game sooner rather than later."

Other Stuff...

Slow news day, for sure.

Had a pretty good Easter Sunday. Nat and her cousins basically played around all day and evening, which included an Easter egg hunt. I stuffed myself until I couldn't move and watched Tiger lose the Masters.

What's up with you?
  • Q'sOTD: Would you consider a golfer or race driver as an athlete? Also, what position in any sport, do you think is the toughest?

Easter was great, my kids, neices/nephew had fun eater egg hunting. We cooked a lamb on the spit. We ate and drank too yesterday, but fun. I even was able to catch Ghost Rider (Nick Cage) last night when my brother in law brought over the bootleg. Not a bad movie and can't wait till it officially releases, will be purchasing.

Easter was ok. My family is pretty spread out this year, so didn't get to get together like we normally do. Parents are in San Diego, middle brother and is wife and kids spent the day with her family up in Denton, and my other brother had to work all day (asst pro at a country club in Dallas), so I hung out at home and watched the Masters, then had an Easter dinner of ballpark hotdogs at beer at the Rangers' game vs the Red Sox.

Golfers are definately athletes. I'm know I'm exhausted after 18 holes. Driver's I'm not so sure about. Hardest position in any sport...probably hockey goalie....that puck is flying at them hard, and they have to get in the way!

Easter was great. Our church (multimedia) put on an awesome service. Our band is second to none and I thought I put together some good supportive visual media. We showed an interesting pre-made street interview, whereby people were asked about their views on Easter. Some people either didn't have a clue that Easter and spirituality were interlaced or didn't actually believe in it. You can always check out our weekly messages at www.hopelv.org .

Anywho....it was great getting my son back safely from his Orlando (KSA) baseball tourney trip. I spruced up his room with a fresh coat of paint and some Phillies and Panthers wall decor along with some other stuff and he was surprised. Also, we took my mom out earlier in the day with most of the fam to a nostalgic place (which serves a 120 oz. steak!). After a week of no TV or vid games as time was spent on reflection and prayer, it was a good break from the mundane. All in all a good Easter weekend.

As far as QOTD: Race car drivers and golfers are definitely athletes in their respective sports. NO sport can be compared to one another. After all, baseball players are no where near expected to do what football players do. I think as far as toughest positions in team sports, I'd have to go with: Basketball - point guard; Football - middle LB; Baseball - catcher; Hockey - goalie; Soccer - center/midfielder.
