WipEout Returns to PSP

Eurogamer has the scoop.
"Sony has announced that a new WipEout game for PSP will be released this September, courtesy of our old pals Studio Liverpool.

WipEout Pulse promises 24 new, reversible circuits to race around in new ships shooting people with new weapons while listening to new licensed music, including songs by Mason, Loco Dice and Stanton Warriors. God I feel old."

PSX Extreme Previews (PS3)

PSX Extreme has posted previews from the following games:
  • Hot Shots Golf 5
"Above all golf franchises that I've ever played, simply none of them have ever compared to Hot Shots Golf. But really, when the only other notable golf series is Tiger Woods, Hot Shots Golf doesn't have much in the way of competition. Sony's golf series has employed a super cute, cartoon-like approach, with deceivingly sharp gameplay aspects and a sense of realism. And gameplay has been the primary drive of the franchise since its inception back on the original PlayStation. It's ironic how the series has never taken itself seriously, and yet it remains at the forefront of golf games. Now with the fifth installment approaching, it looks like Hot Shots Golf will continue to reign."
  • DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road
"I have to be honest when I say that the battle for rally-racer supremacy last generation was one of the best videogame shoot outs I can think of. We were treated to so many fantastic rally games over the years, such as World Rally Championship, RalliSport, V-Rally 3, and of course the Colin McRae series. There could be a few I'm forgetting, but those four stand out among the rest. Release after release, developers were bringing us quality rally games left and right, and I couldn't have been any happier. Hell, competition got so fierce that even Gran Turismo got in on it with some superb rally racing of its own. Now, we've moved on a generation, and some of these franchises are no longer with us. Sony has halted WRC, in favor of developing MotorStorm, V-Rally is nowhere to be found, and neither is RalliSport. So we're left with Gran Turismo, the revival of Sega Rally, and Codemasters' bread-and-butter...Colin McRae. And while the rally legend has passed on (may he rest in peace), his namesake will continue to live on with the series."

Other Stuff...

What an absolutely unbelievable game the Pistons and Nuggets had last night huh? Sheed through it up from almost 3/4 court at the buzzer to put it into OT. I think it's safe to say most people thought the game was over, including myself. Unreal.

What is up with traffic! There is a fender bender on the other side of the interstate, but everyone has to stop and stare, causing traffic on my side of the interstate. I'd like to slap a few people right about now.

What's up with you?

QOTD:

In my opinion, there is no thrill greater in sports than watching overtime in Game 7 of any Stanley Cup Playoff series. Just to know that one goal...just one goal...can end one team's season and make another's, man it's fun to watch!

And I'm not even that big of a hockey fan, but wow...OT in a Game 7 is incredible!

I'm surprised that Rage Against the Machine wasn't on that SNL banned list after they tried to bum rush Steve Forbes' dressing room. Well, since they're broken up, it doesn't really matter.

QOTD: I'm a hoops guy, but I gotta say an inside the park homer is the most exciting, especially since they are so rare.

I hate rubbernecking in traffic also. I hate that people like to slow down to 25 on the highway just to get a look at what happened. Just stop being nosy and just keep going!

QOTD: I have to go with the walk-off home run.

QOTD: I would have to say a buzzer beater in baseketball with a walk off homerun close behind.

QOTD: I'd say a buzzer beater in bball as well. But a kick or punt return for a TD can be pretty exciting also.

It was pretty much the coolest sports moment I've gotten to witness live! It was absolutely amazing. From our seats, we could see Gibson hobbling around in the dugout before he walked up the steps to the on-deck circle. Electric!

It's not an HDD advertisment, it's a "Hardrive" ad. Misspelling and everything. Too bad it's fake
