NBA Street Homecourt Review (360)

5WG has posted their review of NBA Street Homecourt.
"Whether the value of sports is being overstated, both in the game and in life, is a discussion best left for another day; but nevertheless, EA merits a great deal of respect for daring to try and make its game more than simply that. For the sports video game genre, it’s an entirely unexpected, unprecedented and welcome first step.

In the end, NBA Street Homecourt is exactly what you’d expect it to be - a laugh-out-loud, hoot-and-holler on the couch title with enough depth to keep most gamers interested. Sure, it’s best as an occasional pick-up-and-play experience, but what’s wrong with that? Games, at their finest, are really about fun and friends… and Homecourt delivers the goods."

Major League Baseball 2K7 Interview

GameZone has posted an interview with Ben Brinkman, Producer of Major League Baseball 2K7.
GZ: "Baseball is a game that, while statistically founded, also can turn on random chance. When you create a baseball game, in which statistical probability plays a prominent role, how do you manage to configure in the impact of random chance?"
Ben: "That’s an excellent question. We have a very simple statistical model we use. But there is definitely there is a built-in random chance. We built in random chance. You can’t just plug in a bunch of numbers and hope it works."

Create Your Own NCAA Football 08 Box Art

Head on over to EA Sports and create your own custom NCAA Football 08 box art.

NCAA Football 08 Cover Athlete Leaked

SportsGamer has the scoop.
"According to the Idaho Statesman, Jared Zabransky has been chosen to be on the cover of NCAA Football 08. Zabransky was the QB for the Boise State Broncos and led the team to the incredible win in the Fiesta Bowl over Oklahoma."

Juiced 2 Screenshots (PS3, 360)

Playsyde and Xboxyde have both posted some Juiced 2 screenshots.
"Sequel of Juiced is coming to next-gen consoles, and here are the screenies ! I'm actually surprised it looks this good."

SSX Blur Impressions (Wii)

Kotaku has posted their impressions of SSX Blur.
"To steer you use the thumbstick on the nunchuck, but to carve (do wider smoother turns) you also have to tilt the entire nunchuck. Initially it's as awkward as it sounds, but after a bit I got really into it and the ground controls felt incredibly responsive.

The graphics are fairly good, lots of sunlight glares, flying snow and powder. The character models are a little rough, but Electronic Arts decision to go with a more cartoon-like look helps to disguise that.

The game plays a lot like other SSX titles. You unlock different parts of a mountain and can free ski or snowboard or run into different contest that test your racing and trick skills."

An Awful Punch-Out!! Movie, Just For You

LMAO, well...Just watch it for yourself.
"This fan-made homage to (Mike Tyson's) Punch-Out!! is probably the worst thing I've ever seen. It's rather old—just came across it on NeoGAF—but I want to share it with you, as this basement filmed clip from the 80's is so painful, the sadist in me screamed "Post! Post now!" It's marginally NSFW, as it features a handful of pre-teens jumping around in their underwear and certainly doesn't help argue the case that video games aren't for pedos."

Konami Trials Pro Evo Arcade in UK

GamesIndustry has the scoop.
"Konami is currently trialling an arcade cabinet in the UK based on the hit Pro Evolution Soccer franchise. The two-player Pro Evolution Soccer Arcade Championship is being tested in two locations in London, with the intention of launching more coin-op units later this year. The cabinet uses e-Amusement cards, which allow players to save data on pre-paid cards and plug them into any cabinet."

GameTrailers Movie Clips (Multi)

GameTrailers have posted movie clips from the following games:

Def Jam: Icon Preview (360)

Xbox 360 - The Official Xbox Magazine has posted their preview of Def Jam: Icon.
"The fighting action is pretty similar to the old Def Jam games. You punch and kick, do the odd throw and try to mash your opponent into certain parts of the scenery to pull off special attacks. The New York Club fight zone has lights that crash down from the roof, an angry old bitch of a pole dancer who’ll kick whoever’s head is nearest to her roger-me shoes, plus there’s a wall full of electric lightbulbs that’s just gagging for someone’s arse to make contact with it."

Other Stuff...

March already? Jeez, I need to get my taxes done.

What's up with you?

QOTD -- Console answer is definately 360... although I have Arena Football and The Show on PS2 on the way, so that will pick up steam quickly. However, I'm definately doing my most gaming on the PC right now. Between 3 text-based sims and MVP 07 MLB Mod... I'm spending a lot of time on the PC.

QOTD - My Xbox 360 majority of the time, but I spent hours taking out all my dreamcast games from storage and started playing those again.

So many games, I've never even opened trying to complete them. Amazing I have over 200+ VMU's. Never knew that....

QOTD: I think my PS2 and Wii are getting about the same amount of time in these days. I've got new stuff for both systems, I just don't have the hours to get all the time in I want
