Wii Battle: Eyeshield 21 Controls vs. Madden 07 Controls

Japanator has posted an interesting article on the controls of Eyeshield 21 vs. Madden 07.
"Madden was confident that it was and will be the only football game that would use the Wii to its fullest advantage. But Madden was ignorant to the fact that in Japan, Eyeshield 21 was about to hit the scene and shake up the competition. To the surprise of many, they both share roughly the same control scheme, but the context of use could not be more different. For you see, Madden is a football simulation game, while Eyeshiled 21 is a football arcade game. Nevertheless, come join us after the jump for a inside look at Eyeshield 21’s control scheme with its Madden counterpart."
Has anyone tried this Eyeshield 21 game? I've never heard of it.

Swinging for the Fences in Sports In-Game Advertising

GameDaily has posted an article entitled, Swinging for the Fences in Sports In-Game Advertising.
"Gamers may not like in-game advertising, but there's no denying that in-game ads and sports titles go together like peanut butter and jelly. In some cases, like Netamin's unique sports MMO Ultimate Baseball Online, ads allow the game to be offered for free. We spoke with Netamin and Double Fusion about the powerful combo of sports and in-game ads."

Superbikes Hit 360 in October

Eurogamer has the scoop.
"Black Bean has said that PC and Xbox 360 versions of SBK: Superbike World Championship will be available in October, and also filled us in on the demo plans.

"I think [the demo will be ready] near the end of the summer, considering the fact we're going to release at the end of October," spokesperson Livio Cantagallo told Eurogamer.

"We are going to think about a PS3 version, because we are just moving onto the next-generation consoles, starting with the Xbox 360 as it's similar to the PC."

Watch The Forza Motorsport Showdown on SPEED TV

The official Forza site has the details.
"Here's the game. Six amateur drivers with different racing backgrounds compete head to head in the race of their lives. The first one across the finish line wins $100,000. They have to get there in a street car they've never driven, manned by a crew they've never met. Based on the incredible Xbox 360 racing simulator, Forza Motorsport 2, this is Forza Motorsport Showdown. Now, the game is real."

Other Stuff...

Well, we WON last night. Well, we won because the other team had to forfeit. We still ran a scrimmage against the players that did show up, giving up a few of our own, just to get a run in. It was fun, but would much rather have had the opportunity to really win a game. Not sure who the players are that they were missing, but I actually think we could have beat this team. Oh well, we play one of the better teams tomorrow and they have a full bench, lol.

Pistons won a squeaker last night as Grant Hill comes back to Detroit tonight.

I need a haircut. what's up with you?

Yeah, it was a crazy night. The car wasn't stock on top of it, but that's where the needle was pinned, I was doing 153 for about 30 seconds or so, flew by a cop at that speed, he didn't even move from sitting under a bridge. I turned off the lights as soon as I saw him. I was 19 and stupid.

Actually reminds me of a night I was screaming down I-95 in my Honda CRX. I was going maybe 110'ish and flew right by a cop that was sitting in a hiding spot. I guess he just got there, cuz I kept looking back w/ my heart racing a mile a minute and I never saw the lights come on.

The funny thing is, once I slowed down from 153, I went down to 65. It felt like I was doing 15 MPH since I was doing almost 1/3 of the speed I was just doing. Very weird feeling.

144 mph in my 2002 mustang gt...i can't imagine what that looked like to someone we passed who was going about 70...we were doubling their speed limit. damn! hehehe....needless to say i have never done that twice...it was a little scary.

QOTD: Right at 100 mph on my Road in my great 98 explorer.

# 12 pennstlbu @ 02/21/07 11:02 AM
QOTD: I drove 101 in my Saab 900 (my first car), right after I bought it on a stretch of I-90 between Missoula and Helena, back when Montana's speed limit was "Reasonable and Prudent." Of course a couple months later, the legislature changed the speed limit to 75 on the Interstates.

Yea I hate Montana's new law. I was visiting family out there and said to the wifey let's see if I can get this piece of **** rental up to 100. Well I was up to 95 when a cop driving on the other side of the road came across the median to pull me over. He only clocked me at 92 and I paid 40 bucks and was back on my way to Glacier. I thought when there was absolutely no one on the road you go as fast as you want in Montana!

The fastest I've gone is like 90 in my Gran Prix....

It is supposed to be 55 today and that means that all of the snow should hopefully melt today and that means that I should be good to go for golf by Friday I'm thinking about sneaking out before class on friday and get in 9 holes.

I am rarely on the freeway but if somebody blew by me on duty at 110+ I might get up to 90 and call it out as a wreckless driver but then discontinue. It's not worth it after he or I slam into a van with a mom and kids. The liability is just too much these days, and even if I'm following I would still be seen as chasing him.

Only about 110 in my 1995 Monte Carlo back in the day.

Yeah, when I would drive between Seattle and Billings, MT, I would see several cops in WA (about 300 miles), 1 or 2 in the ID panhandle (70 miles), and i'd be lucky to see 1 in MT (close to 500 miles). But the cops here are usually pretty lenient up to about 85 mph on the interstates. But over that, they'll nail ya.

148 mph 2005 TSX on the 101N headed to Santa Barbara after a Dodgers game. My hands were sweaty...
